When, Where and Why
I’ve always loved all types of music and my fascination started at a very early age in the composition of music. The various layers that are created; the ambience, the feeling, the memories that music stirs up within us. In 2002 I had some Poetry published and was invited to a Symposium in Hollywood hosted by the lovely Bo Derek and recited some of my Poems at the biggest ever Symposium of Poets at that time. Such rich and colourful Poets from all over the Globe delivered their poetry with passion. I wanted at the time to set some of these Poems to music but the time and the technology wasn’t there for me and my business took up most of my time. In 2019 I decided this was the year that I would reconnect with my creative side and so started putting together the music I wanted, the sounds I wanted together with some of the lyrics of my Poetry. I’m working my way through these as I write but sometimes, the creative need to just compose takes over. I was recently asked to compose some background music for a local Restaurant/Pub and once delivered, I am now apparently ‘dead cool’ to the young Chefs who loved playing my music. It’s a fantastic feeling having your music liked and shared. Yesterday, my single Kenetic Trance was played on Artefaktor Radio and broadcast alongside some extremely talented Electronic Music Artists from around the globe. What a feeling! So, thank you for taking the time to read this, for taking the time to listen to my music - I hope you enjoy your experience of my music and look forward to creating many more tracks in the future. My inspirations are many and not necessarily in any order. If it moves me it inspires me!
In 2019 I was invited to become a presenter on Secklow Community Radio and therein lies another story of discovery! Tune in to our Show on Wednesday evenings from 8pm to 10pm to hear Grant Gillingham and I interviewing and playing music from local artists from in and around Milton Keynes and also introducing some excellent artists from the Electronic Family Tree and Artefaktor Radio, if you like #synth #synthpop #synthrock then come and join us on the show?
In January 2020 I started hosting another show for #secklow1055 Secklow Community Radio, #secklowsynth collaborating with #artefaktorradio bringing some bright and energetic new music to the Station.
