We are laid back and friendly, 35yrs+ local ladies book club that meet on the last Tuesday of every month at The Three Trees - hosted by Nicky from The Hidden Hive Workshops.

🌟📚APRIL BOOK CLUB MEET📚🌟

We finally found out why she bought that chicken! 🐔😂

This month we reviewed Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera 📕

Another brilliant turnout from our lovely bunch of book loving ladies -equal parts chatting, life‑updates, and discussing this month’s book. 📚

(As always, we meet on the last Tuesday of every month if you fancy joining us!) 💛

📖 REVIEW OF THE BOOK 📖
Most of us landed on a solid 7–8/10, with a couple giving it a very honest 2/10.

•Most of the group found the book enjoyable and easy to get into
•Some felt the characters were a bit underdeveloped
•BUT everyone adored the grandma, her rebellious, non‑conformist energy and her relationship with her granddaughter and main character, Lucy.

All in all, a lively discussion and a fun April read.

If this line doesn't mean anything to you, then hurry up and get reading this month's book - Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera. You have 8 days to read it, since the book club is next Tuesday!
I finished it yesterday and gave it an 8/10. I really enjoyed it. I really felt that I wanted to be friends with Savannah.

Just started My Husband Next Door by K.L. Slater and… From page one, it’s got that deliciously, secret-filled vibe 🥰 I just love!🙌
Is she still alive? Who is this woman who moved in opposite and would you really leave a newborn baby with a stranger!?!😲😬
You just know when a book is laying down the characters and a plot like this… it’s going to be good!.

🌟🍂OCTOBER BOOK CLUB MEET🍂🌟
We were an absolute 📚book lovers takeover!🙌🤸‍♂️🎉
TBH 😆We’re a mixed bunch of great ladies who just love an excuse to get out the house! Have a glass of vino🍷, discuss life, menopause, 📚authors, plots 🧐and try and read a book in a month!🥰
(We meet on the last Tuesday of every month if you’d like to join us)

🤷‍♀️Anyhoo... on Tuesday 28th October we came together to review "Broken Country" by Claire Lesley Hall.

🙌Three new members joined us this month so a HUGE welcome to Denise, Sue and Andrea. 👋

📖REVIEW OF THE BOOK 📖
All our reviews were pretty consistent with a solid 8/10. Most agreed that they enjoyed the love story 💕 that flowed through the book between the characters, along the twist 🌪️ and turns within the story as it moved across 2 different time periods. 🤷‍♀️ So, all in all an enjoyable read for October.🍂🍁 and one we would all recommend.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🫣BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!🙌
We had our September 📚BOOK CLUB MEET UP📚 early this month as quite a few of our ladies were off on their holidays next week ⛱️
(Grabbing the cheaper rate now all the kids are back at school)
We had a fab catch up! 🤣 loads of chatter, laughs, sharing of info… 🤭We did get to talk about the book promise! And reviews were mixed (will do a post later☝️)
But for now 🤷‍♀️ we are still going strong 💪 and love having new members join us!
We’ve all met through our love of books, reading, meeting new people who have become friends 🥰👍

Looking forward to next months (October) meet

Finding any excuse to sit down and pick it up!😆🤭

Claire Douglas’ writing style is really good… and the additional ‘pieces’ she drops in every few chapters… brilliant! Definitely keeping me intrigued and wanting to read more!
