Hello again – a little update from me

Some of you may know me as the face behind Fairy Godmother Balloons, creating colourful displays for children’s parties and celebrations. I’ve truly loved doing this.

But over the past few months, I've been building something new.

I’ve launched SDVA, my Virtual Assistant business, where I support small business owners with organising the back end of their business, so things run more smoothly.

That includes things like clearing inboxes, organising digital files, repurposing content, scheduling posts, and more.

Why I Love Living and Working in MK

It’s Day, so I just wanted to share how lucky I feel to live and work in this brilliant part of the world.

Milton Keynes has been home for 37 years, and I love how it mixes peaceful green spaces with a buzzing community of small businesses, creatives and people doing great things.

I feel really lucky that I can run my business from somewhere like this and still work with clients wherever they are.

When I had my balloon business, I really struggled to show up online.

I’d stare at the screen for ages, overthinking every post, unsure what to say, and worrying it wouldn’t be good enough. I knew I needed to be visible, but honestly, it felt really uncomfortable. Half the time, I didn’t show up at all.

All I really needed back then was a bit of structure and a plan I could actually stick to.
