I love a Mixdown that then gets even better with the Mastering.

The last week or so has been all about mixing the sessions tracked in the weeks before.
Such a vast variety of music, totally different styles and instrumentations, such a colourful month!!!

I've been Mastering the 4 songs by Turned It To Stone today, they are huge!! A short, fast paced, high step count, high mileage rehearsal/ live tracking session has resulted in a very pleasing final master. I pulled out many a trick from my bag for this one.

Not bad for a Monday.

Last night Hive was enlisted to provide Sound Engineering at Finns Weymouth.
It's always a blast at the most dedicated rock venue in Dorset. Steve and Jude have managed to retain the rock vibe they began brewing back in Yeovil many moons ago.

Nu-Call, a brilliant nu-metal tribute were on blistering form.
Second time I've engineered for them, and they displayed massive development since the last time I had the pleasure.
Tighter, more detailed performances and a refined sound.
