Ten years later, he was learning to scuba dive, and he decided to leave his full time job as a graphic designer and illustrator and become a wildlife artist...

Victoria has drawn since she was a child, always fascinated by the shapes and patterns of animals and birds and putting the unusual together creating quirky associations. Originally training as a textile designer at Falmouth School of Art she worked in the industry for the United Turkey Red Company. In the 1980s she studied printmaking at Hereford College of Art and more recently at West Dean College and the Sidney Nolan Trust.

A Brief History of Creates

Creates Magazine began life as ‘Wye Valley Creates Magazine’, an art magazine that was distributed around the Wye Valley area, in October 2016. After much local success, Kenny John, the founder of the magazine, teamed up with Michelle Gordon, to go national and the first issue of Creates Magazine, that was distributed to over 300 galleries around the UK, was published in April 2018. The magazine now features editorials on artists, features exhibitions and art fairs, and is helping artists and makers to increase their visibility within the art world.
