🎹 Out now from Joanna Kacperek - Pianist — the first movement from Marianna Martines’ Keyboard Sonata in G major, celebrating her belated birthday (4 May 1744).

Martines (1744–1812) was an esteemed composer, singer, and keyboard virtuoso based in Vienna. She was neighbours with a young, struggling Joseph Haydn, who gave her keyboard lessons from the age of seven, and she performed four-hand duets with Mozart. The G major Sonata is one of only three surviving sonatas from a total of 31 that Martines is thought to have composed.
