Job Vacancy: Part-Time Media & Communications Officer (Home-Based)

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dynamic and creative Media Officer to join our team in a remote capacity. This part-time, home-based role is perfect for those who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about media relations and content creation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute engaging content for social media platforms.
- Craft and distribute regular newsletters to both internal and external audiences.
- Maintain and update website content.
- Write, edit, and oversee the production of press releases, articles, and web copy.
- Occasionally represent the organisation in interactions with industry media.
- Organise and coordinate press conferences, interviews, and media events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, managers, and other stakeholders in the media.
- Monitor and analyse media coverage of the organisation, assessing the effectiveness of media strategies and campaigns.
- Respond to enquiries from the media promptly and professionally via phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Assist with high-profile announcements and media statements.

Additional Duties:

- Advise senior staff on media response strategies.
- Proofread and revise media statements and online content to ensure clarity and impact.

Ideal Candidate:

- Proven experience in media relations or a related field.
- Good skills creating media in various formats including imagery and video.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to convey messages clearly and compellingly.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building relationships with colleagues and external parties, remotely.
- Knowledge of current trends in digital media/social media.
