This was a memorable day in 1995 meeting Morrissey Official & walking all over Dagenham with him & Mark Savage (Gripper from Grange Hill) Morrissey was very suprised when I turned up with short red hair as he’d cast me from seeing me in Two Of Us & was originally made for the BBC ‘made for schools’ series Scene. Produced/directed by Roger Tonge & beautifully written by Leslie Stuart. Jason Rush who played lead Mathew in TOU was also cast as Boy Racer in this & we drive off together at the end … Small world! TOU was banned by Mary Whitehouse & the ending had to be changed to go on TV in 1987. Now a cult classic amongst the gay scene & very tame compared to now but characters beautifully played by everyone. Worth checking out!
Anyway bless Morrissey he just wanted me to play Sharon for him & didn’t mind the hair in the end. He was great, very funny & it was an absolute pleasure to work with/for him. Mark was great too.
So many things popping up I am embracing these amazing memories! Morrissey what an absolute legend!
