Riding a Triumph Bonneville T120 on the Isle of Skye.

In this concluding part of my Scottish Island hopping adventure, Silvie and I visit the Isle of Skye before heading back home. For this year's event I decided to attend a ride a little closer to home. The Derbyshire Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is becoming one of the UK's biggest rides, with around 500 riders and over £40K raised. With clear skies and a long route, it's a ride to remember.

The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is a charity event aimed at raising awareness of mens health issues, it's a great cause and for a short while donations can still be made after the event. If you feel like contriubting to a worthwhile campaign, you can find my DGR page at:

It's that time of year again, the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is just ten days away.

This year I'll be attending the Derbyshire Ride, so please do say hello if you're there and you spot me wandering around. It will also be Donkey's first DGR; there's always a strong Triumph presence at the rides so I'm happy to be on team RE this year.

I've been wanting to tick off the Outer Hebrides on the Triumph Bonneville T120 for quite a few years. Finally the weather looked good so I packed up the bike and headed for Scotland.

It's been a while since I've done a ride of any decent length on Silvie the Triumph Bonneville T120. So with sun forecast for the entire day, I loaded up my camera gear and set off for one of Yorkshire's most popular biking spots.

Buttertubs Pass is a well known motorcycling hot spot, the whole area in general is filled with incredible roads and should be a bucket list destination for any motorcyclist. This video is a brief summary of my day there riding the roads.

With temperatures just above freezing, but thankfully no rain, I took a small window of opportunity to take my first ride of the year on Silvie the Bonneville T120. Riding out over the northern part of the Peak District, I had a few tests to run on some new filming equipment, and I was also thankful for the heated jacket and trousers courtesy of Keis Apparel. Winter riding is a rough pastime, but with the right gear there's really few reasons not to get out there.

As ever, I'm a few days late with my yearly round up video. But here it is, 2024 with a Triumph Bonneville T120 and a Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Despite what seemed like almost continuous rain for the whole of the year, I still managed to dig out a few opportunities for motorcycle camping adventures, made some review videos and acquired a second channel bike.

Also this year was a test for how viable it would be to go full time with the channel and website, and the good news is is that I think I can, so I will.

There's lots of plans for 2025, so I hope you'll stick around and follow along to see how Classic Rides develops (there'll also be a few moto camping videos along the way too!).
