Short film of The Space Between, a Creative Learning Exchange organised by Findhorn Bay Arts which focused on the often-overlooked pauses in the development process – the moments of silence, reflection, space and incubation that support ideas and creativity to thrive.

Open to anyone working in the arts, culture, education and community sectors, the exchange brought together those interested to share ideas and experience, listen to others and explore the essential space between and how this can help shape new ideas that can contribute to a creative and thriving community.

Community Knowledge Matters was a day of connection and celebration of community-led research across rural and island Scotland, exploring themes such as mental wealth, peer research and the creative ways communities are driving change.

Such a privilege to cover this creative learning exchange for Findhorn Bay Arts. Big thanks to Kresanna, Paige and the team for inviting me along.

Its so important that gatherings like this happen which bring creative people together to share knowledge and ideas, encourage and support each other to make new and innovative work, and to develop cross-organisational collaboration and partnerships that can challenge and inspire future generations of artists, musicians, writers to live and make work in this part of Scotland.

I've been really lucky this year to cover some amazing events for our community - SCAN's Northern Members meeting and The Touring Network's Gathering are two more which spring to mind; plus brilliant festivals like Nairn Book and Arts Festival and Dance North Scotland's RISE - yesterday's event was another cracker.
