**CASTING CALL – SHORT FILM**

Genre: Drama
Location: Cardiff, Wales UK
Shoot Dates: October 2026
Compensation: Paid

We are casting two male lead roles for an upcoming short film exploring family, loyalty, and the lasting effects of a difficult upbringing.

ARTHUR (Male, 18–25)
**Lead Role**

Arthur is caring, dependable, and hardworking. Growing up in a broken family meant he had to mature quickly, taking on responsibilities far beyond his years. He has spent much of his life providing for those around him, particularly his older brother, despite the emotional and financial strain. Arthur is compassionate, resilient, and quietly determined, always putting family before himself.

Character Traits: Kind, selfless, emotionally grounded, resilient, protective.

BRAD (Male, 20–28)
**Lead Role**

Brad is Arthur’s older brother. Outwardly, he is intimidating, aggressive, and quick to anger, using his tough exterior to hide his vulnerabilities. Although he often threatens and clashes with Arthur, beneath the surface he deeply respects and appreciates everything Arthur has sacrificed for him. Even when no one else is around, glimpses of his loyalty and affection occasionally break through, revealing a far more complex man than he first appears.

Character Traits: Intense, volatile, physically imposing, emotionally conflicted, fiercely loyal beneath the surface.

Day 1 inside Acapela Studios 🎥

Built a full live multi-cam setup from scratch before the band even arrived.
Pillar cams locked. URSA on the wide. Pocket 6K moving through the room. SDI everywhere. Monitors up. Then straight into recording a live folk session in real time.

From the drive to Neath, setting up lights, tripods and audio, checking memory cards (because we’ve all had that nightmare 😅), to capturing every moment on the Sony FX6 & FX3—this is a look behind the scenes of one of my favourite parts of the job.
