A beautiful summer evening for the Home-Start Wi******er AGM yesterday at the Carroll Centre ☀️
Sue Thomas is a trustee, and we are constantly reminded how vital this charity is — the need for support keeps growing, but Home-Start is in good shape thanks to a brilliant team, robust strategy, and a community of generous supporters.
We heard powerful, moving stories from families, celebrated 20 years of impact, and enjoyed the chance to reconnect with the people who make it all happen 💛
Proud to support this work through Sue and Thomas Miller — and we are excited to see what the next 20 years bring.

Good luck, everyone who is running, or holding bags, or water and waiting at the finish line to cheer their runner(s) home.

It's the 10k road race this Sunday. At 10 o'clock 500 runners will leave Arlebury Park and run through the town, up West Street and down Broad Street, then over the weir and onto the Abbotstone Road. After turning around at Abbotstone they'll come back along Drove Lane and the Avenue before finishing back at Arlebury Park. There will be some disruption to traffic in town for about 15 minutes from 10 o'clock - please be patient, we'll get things going again as soon as we can. The Abbotstone Road and Drove Lane will be closed for about an hour. We've had great support from local businesses this year and have prizes from Louis Pommery and Chocolate Craft plus lots of other local goodies for local runners!

And they're off! Our stand design, video and merchandise are in place, the team is ready and London Excel is open for CIPD Show . Visit stand C1 to see The Active Bystander Training Company and meet founders Scott Solder and Su Nandy who are making a real difference to workforces globally. Helping teams challenge inappropriate behaviour at work, on campus and in school.
