We’ve been busy for a few months shaping up the campaign assets for Visit Southampton and S&D Leisure’s Magic of Christmas – and tonight it all comes to life at the Bargate.
Stilt walkers, fire shows, live music, lasers… basically everything except actual snow (but we never give up hope)
Head to Southampton from 4pm, go soak up the sparkle. 🎄✨

The campaign for Christmas and Visit Southampton is officially underway. SAVE THE DATE and experience The Magic of Christmas at Southampton’s spectacular market launch event! 🌟
The Southampton Christmas Market returns on Thursday 13th November, kicking off with a launch party at the Bargate from 4pm. The event will be hosted by DJ Flash - tour DJ for the city's own Craig David. 🎤🎶
You can expect festive street entertainers and live performances from local choirs & musicians in partnership with Music in The City. 🎸
The highlight of the evening will be the big switch-on, premiering the new magical laser show that will light up the Bargate, taking everyone on a journey to the North Pole and Santa’s Workshop.
Plus, browse even more stalls, enjoy new rides (including the incredible Starflyer), and soak up the city’s festive energy.

Great to see these Xelabuses out and about, bringing our designs to life for University Centre Sparsholt and Sparsholt College. After poring over every line and shadow on every image on the relatively small studio screens. It's great to see the artwork now so large. Well done to all involved. Andean Signs Ltd and Xelabus. They look amazing.

WRITING NERD ALERT! Why does copy text love the em dash so much?
We’ve noticed it creeping in everywhere—when really, an en dash should do the job.
The reason? Well two of them. 1. ChatGPT uses US English even though it can adjust to UK spelling, its basic platform is US English and boy do our American cousins love an em dash. You can train AI to remove them but you've got to keep vigilant it's in its DNA 2. Microsoft Word. It defaults to the em dash too, and there’s no easy autocorrect. Unless a writer actively inserts one (and many don’t), it never appears.
Here’s a quick refresher:
• Hyphen (-) joins words (well-known).
• En dash (–) shows ranges (2010–2020).
• Em dash (—) breaks a sentence or adds emphasis (She paused—then spoke).
💡 Tip: To type an en dash: Ctrl + Minus (numeric keypad) on Windows, or Option + Hyphen on Mac.

It’s been a real Summer of Sport — from the unforgettable UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 win to grassroots rugby around the UK. We were delighted to support Run Communications with branded event materials and items. The impact of The National Lottery funding is transformational. From seeing Jill Scott playing with our footballs on the cobbles of the famous Coronation Street to a mural (made in less than 48hrs) at Alessia Russo’s grassroots club. It’s fantastic to see how funds raised by National Lottery players have transformed the lives of so many. 🏆🏉

Fascinating!. During the Napoleonic Wars, French prisoners of war were held in various parts of Britain, including smaller towns like Alresford, where they were billeted or detained in inns or with families.
