𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐈𝐒
Summer, 1940. The Battle of Britain is lost and Operation Sea Lion is now in full effect. The Wehrmacht Blitzkrieg storms the coasts of Britain, pushing Allied troops deeper into the north of England. Amongst the chaos, two enemy soldiers find themselves trapped together in a personal struggle for survival and redemption.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Dennett, B.E.M. John donated his time to bring "The Black Rock" to life with his remarkable insight and experience. It was an honour and privilege to have known him and spend as much as we could in his remarkable company.

John's life was an extraordinary one. He volunteered for the Royal Navy in 1942 and following his training in the U.S.A, he participated in the Battle of the Atlantic, North Africa, Italy and eventually D-Day. He was a war hero and one of the few voices left to tell all not to repeat the mistakes of the past.

Thank you John for all your service, the man you were and the pride you brought us. At ease and rest well, my friend 🙏🇬🇧

We are very pleased to announce and celebrate Kyle Brookes for his nomination as Best Actor at the Liverpool Indie Awards for "The Black Rock". This is now the film's final festival date before release.

We thank everyone for their support throughout this international festival run and we look forward to its coming release.

Scratch that! One more festival to go! We are pleased to announce our next film festival selection for The Black Rock is at Lift-Off Global Network: Berlin. After the previous success we had in Germany last year, particularly Berlin, it's great to be welcomed back 🙏

As before, this is a virtual film festival, where you can watch the film from the comfort of your own home. Upon buying your ticket to the festival, you will be given access to a voting poll to vote for your favourite film at the festival. The film with the most votes will have the opportunity to have their film screened at the historic Pinewood Studios.

The festival will be active until 15th March 2026. Tickets for the festival can be found in our Linktree bio.

Brotherman Productions and Panowerx Pictures presents an interview with WWII D-Day veteran, John Dennett B.E.M. Originally recorded in winter 2023, prior to Dennett's 100th birthday, we interviewed the now century old veteran to learn more about his journey in preparation for the multi-award winning WWII drama, The Black Rock.
