Yesterday was International Music Day and we celebrated with guess what? Lots of music, song and dance! π΅πΈπΏπΌπ·π₯πΊπ
Residents had to find the origins of dances and give us a twirl on the dance floor!
Our afternoon was an educational rollercoaster with Seth, one of our carers who brought to life his own traditions and cultural background from Ghana.
We learnt how Music used for festivals, burials and for the King.
We learnt some beats of the Adowa dance and watched Akwasidae, the festival people of Ghana that happens every 40 days!
Seth was so humble to share his love for his country and his people. He shared the special bond Ghana has with King Charles. The residents and staff really enjoyed learning all about and dancing to the beats. Thanks Seth! π΅π¬ππ¬ππ¬ππ΅
