I was chatting to someone yesterday who said most summer holiday paid activities are out of reach financially especially with having two children which got me finkin…

How about a morning cartoon club with each one packed full of cartooning tips, to carry on drawing after the online class has ended.

Work can be posted which is nice for kids to see their work showcased.

Access to lots of free worksheets so the doodling can continue anytime.

Classes are online so distance is not a problem (9.30am-10.30am times are UK).

***No extra charge for siblings***

I hold an enhanced DBS.

Post ‘yes me’ (or summat else) below to register your childs interest, then I will add final details on cost etc when I have an idea of quantities.

I say to students, sometimes don’t show all of your work, isolate sections to allow people to appreciate the work involved, drawing them in closer (pardon the pun).

Work from a class with two very creative youngsters. My classes are fluent with all students. I tend to contribute ideas so students can dip in and out of the creative ideas pot as it were. They can utilise then and there or perhaps bring in at a later date. Working in to their own style and building on their own abilities. Some ideas are there to refresh and others are new aligning with the natural development of the individuals skills and at a pace that suites them. Brilliant work!

A drawing class from this morning. Sitting in the garden, 28 degrees, cool breeze, drawing in the shade. It’s a hard life being cartoonist.

Some more worksheets from today at Gelenthorne High School in Sutton, Surrey. Staff and students made me so welcome. Full day cartooning comprising of 5 one hour classes x 40 students in each. I put forward loads of to take away and at the same time it is always great for me to see how students apply their own creative take. Very enjoyable day and thanks again GHS for inviting me down.
