Join us this October Half Term for a spooktacular week of Halloween activities! We will delve into the gory history of the castle and get up close with a range of activities for all ages, including adults! Don't miss out on this eerie extravaganza.

Bring your little Ghouls to Whitehouse Farms terrifying Toddler Takeover this Halloween ….. 3 days of Frightfully good Halloween themed fun, aimed at pre-school age children.

Wednesday 22nd October
Messy Monster Mash
Bring your Messy Little Monsters to our Monster Mash. There will be spooky sensory trays to explore, pumpkins to paint, slime to squish and some un-BOO-leavable Halloween keepsakes to make to take home.

Suitable from approximately 1 year olds - pre-school

Thursday 23rd October
Pumpkin Party
Meet at our pumpkin patch, use your little mini wheel-barrow to choose your pumpkin from our patch. We will have lots of stickers and paints to decorate your pumpkins ready to take home.

Explore our pumpkin themed sensory trays and Hauntingly good Halloween themed play doh.

We will finish our session with some Halloween songs and dancing.

Friday 24th October
Terrifying Tots Halloween Disco
Bring your little Ghouls to get their spook on at our Terrifying Tots disco….. traditional Halloween themed fun with lots of dancing and Halloween themed party games and activities.

At all events there will be lots of photo opportunities, you can also enjoy all the other farm activities before and/or after your booked session.

Do you have teens? Like to be scared witless? Then you must take them to ☠️ it is hands down the BEST scare event I have ever experienced and gets better every year. With adrenaline pumping, squeals of terror and laughter all around, it is so much fun. This year I enlisted the help of some new victims to attend the press night, safe to say they loved it.
Thanks for the review Lola Wilson - One of the best FRIGHTS of my life! Love the title - sorry the image was cropped!

It’s not for the squeamish or easily offended but a great activity to do with your older teens. (Guideline age 13+ but be warned of plenty swearing and very scary horror!)

For Halloween the castle will come alive with activities, ghosts, witches and more!

Halloween Drawing Competition:
Can you draw a spooky sketch? Enter our Halloween Drawing competitions for a chance to win a chocolatey prize and have your drawing on display in our Museum Room! (For ages 0-12 years)

Trick or Treat Trail
Explore the castle on this Trick or Treat Trail for a chance to win some Halloween sweets! Complete all the stops and claim your prize. Bonus points for costumed adventurers.

We are going on a Ghost Hunt!
Secret spectres have infested the castle! This Halloween it is your job to find them all. Go on a ghost hunt and see how many ghosts you can find.

Potion-making
Calling all witches and wizards! Newcastle Castle’s potion-making station will return this Halloween. Try your hand at the recipes written in the spell book or create your own. There is lots of messy fun to be had.

Castle Mystic
Try your hand at the art of fortune telling. Gaze into the crystal ball and draw what you see. But beware! You may just reveal your future!

Gory Tours
Catch a free castle tour this half term with a gory twist. Hear all the gruesome tales of Newcastle Castle from over the years with one of our knowledgeable tour guides.

Creepy Crafts
