Issued by Stagecoach buses affecting today and Thursday
“Industrial action – affecting all Stagecoach Newcastle services on 18 and 21 August 2025
The strike action will affect all local bus services operated by our Slatyford and Walkergate depots in the Newcastle area. All other Stagecoach North East depots are unaffected by this industrial action.
So that we can continue to offer links for our local communities, we will be operating a special service on the affected days, running between the hours of approximately 0700 and 1800 only, with buses crewed by volunteers.
The special timetables will run on Newcastle Services 1, 10, 11, 12, 22*, 30, 31, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 62, 63, 72, 685, X47 & X88 only.
Services 6, 7, 18, 22X, 32, 32A, 38A, 49, 68, 71, 72A, 87, X63, X77, X78, X79, X82, X87, 787, 991, 995 will NOT run. Only selected trips on Service 685 will operate.
Services X24, X24A and X34 are operated by other Stagecoach North East depots and will not be affected by the strike action.”
