Prolific shoplifter Colin Snatchgroover, or known to his peers as “main beam and dip” from Thornton Cleveleys, has finally been apprehended after a string of thefts from shops in Blackpool’s town centre.
Snatchgroover, who brushes his teeth with a hammer, apparently managed to evade capture due to the fact he could be both the robber and the lookout at the same time & could easily watch out for security guards on two separate aisles simultaneously.
Apparently Colin, who prefers to be called Groover, was apprehended by a sharp-eyed shop assistant after the notorious thief smiled briefly whilst making his escape during another audacious theft. In the bargain booze Talbot Road where a barcode scanner picked his teeth up as a 6 pack of strongbow.
Store manager Willie Eckerslike said: “everyone in the area knows Snatchgroover, he’s absolutely notorious, in fact If I had £1 for every time he’s looked straight at me I’d have 50p, he’s got a very distinctive look, as if he’s constantly eating either a bowl of spaghetti or chewing a packet of desiccated coconut”.
Snatchgroover was detained at the scene under the Dental Health Act.
