RUFFA 009 is a love letter to the golden era of the Scottish rave sceneโ€”two iconic early-90s anthems (SQ**RT by Waterpistol and OVERTURE by ASR) that were hammered into the hearts of ravers and still ignite instant smiles the moment they drop.

With full blessing from Bass Generator Records and the original creators (massive respect), this release brings those timeless vibes back with renewed energy. Iโ€™ve been spinning my updated versions in my sets for the past few months, and every time theyโ€™ve hit hardโ€”dancefloors lifted, hands in the air, and plenty of people asking โ€œWhat are these tunes? Who made these party bombs?โ€

Both tracks sit firmly on the uplifting, feel-good side of the spectrum, landing perfectly in the lighter division of the artcore corner. No gloom, no darknessโ€”just that pure rave warmth, brightness, and party energy.

This edition is more limited than usual, making it a true collectorโ€™s gem. Each record is pressed on solid white vinyl and comes sealed in plastic foil, hiding the signature special inlay youโ€™ll discover once you crack it openโ€”an extra touch for those who know.
