When I left college (studying music) in 2011, I went straight into work. I got a job at Jessops because it was local. I loved photography and wasn't sure what I was going to do in or with music at that time. I spent years in camera retail, eventually moving to Canon and then the Jessops Academy team, before taking my first punt at semi-self-employment, doing food photography mostly, while also working with ROK on photography and content.
2020 hit, I took an obvious break (Covid), and decided to re-light the music career I never really started. Six years on, National Sound is doing well, and by some miracle the stars aligned. An opportunity to open a photography studio in the same building as National Sound came up, alongside teaming up with Dan James Short
Anyway, this is a long way round of telling you how excited I am to have this new space. I feel incredibly lucky (not one bit stressed at all 😉) to have the ability to do both music and photography, it's truly mental!
