Earth Conscious was born from a tiny idea: to create something that would do some good in the world and help support my family. 💚

It started with plastic-free, reusable products and a natural deodorant that was actually called Hippy Paste for a while! Over these past 10 years we have:
• Won awards
• Contributed over £40k to the Marine Conservation Society
• Gained Fairtrade certification
• Supplied many retailers
• Moved to bigger premises… and then back to smaller ones
Through it all, we’ve remained cruelty-free and plastic-free.

Every step of this journey has been fuelled by people like you choosing to support a small, independent business instead of the big guys. As a small business owner in the driving seat, you end up doing a bit of everything. There is never enough time, and over the years family members have been employed as part of the team – I couldn’t have done it without them, or without the support of trusted freelancers.

Where are we heading next? Finding the energy and inspiration for is the next chapter.

Reduce the single use wrapping this year. Recycled sari fabric makes for a wonderful reusable gift wrap. Perfect for wine, home made cordials, olive oil.

Black Friday doesn’t have to mean buying more. ��

This year we’re stepping away from the rush – no big discounts, no pressure, just fair prices all year and choices that feel good for you and the planet.

As a small business, we can’t afford to slash our prices the way huge retailers and platforms can – and honestly, we don’t want to play that game. Our prices reflect real costs, fair pay and sustainable production, not inflated margins made for mega “markdowns”.

If you genuinely need to buy something and you can get a decent discount from a big store – amazing, go for it. �

But don’t feel pushed to spend for the sake of it, to boost giant platforms’ profits while you’re left with clutter and creeping debt.

We’ll be using the Black Friday weekend to rest, reset and appreciate the lovely humans who support small, thoughtful brands like ours. �
