We had the pleasure of welcoming Simon Harling to COBRA to record the audiobook edition of his brilliant new release, Good Coach Bad Coach ⚽️🌟🎙️🎧

Simon’s project has been a joy from start to finish. His signature coach-cap branding, his clear vision, and the heart he’s poured into this book made the session feel less like work and more like tuning into a conversation you can’t help but lean into.

A little while ago we joked about interviewing a very local grass-roots activist… well, the full story has landed - and it sounds incredible! 🎧🐄🐴⛰️

Over the past few months we’ve had the privilege of working with the team at Radnorshire Wildlife Trust to produce an immersive audio tour that captures the landscape, wildlife, and natural processes shaping Pentwyn Farm.

The script was shaped by ideas and input from the Wilder Pentwyn volunteers and the Radnorshire Wildlife Team, then expertly crafted and narrated in both English and Welsh by Tobias Weatherburn. Tobias brought the stories, textures, and purpose of the site to life with real warmth and clarity - his narration is the thread that holds the whole experience together.

At COBRA, we brought everything into one coherent sonic journey, blending Tobias’s narration with a palette of on-location recordings taken across the farm - from birdsong and flowing water to the subtle sounds that define a landscape in recovery. The aim was simple: to give anyone, whether they’ve visited Pentwyn or not, a genuine sense of what this rewilding site is all about.

The studio upgrades just keep coming… and this one sounds unbelievable! 🥁🔥

Say hello to our brand-new Yamaha Tour Custom Drum Shell Set - featuring a 20" kick, gorgeous all-maple shells in Caramel Satin, paired with a Zildjian Avedis Sweet Ride Cymbal Box Set, plus Pearl hardware and a super comfy Pearl Roadster Throne.

It’s our first ever in-house studio drum kit, and we’re buzzing to make it available for artists, bands, composers, and session players. A huge thank you to Ev-entz for speccing this incredible kit - especially Adrian, Andrew, Billy, and Fly for all their help getting everything sorted. Legends, the lot of them 🙌🥁

We had an amazing time in Uttoxeter with The Heath Chorus, recording their brand new album at Bramshall Meadows First School! 🎶💿🌟

From the first note to the last, the energy and sheer joy the choir brings to their singing is infectious - such a wonderful group to work with ✨💫 and I can't wait to share the album with you!

It was also our first long trip running fully electric ⚡️ - up and back on clean power! A new chapter for us, and the perfect way to kick it off with The Heath Chorus 🔋💛

We had a fantastic time working with the incredible Just Sing and their musical director Peter Banks to record their latest Christmas release, coming very soon! 🎅🏻💫

Recorded at the wonderful St Julians Baptist Church, Newport, the session was full of festive spirit, beautiful harmonies, and plenty of Christmas cheer 🎁🎄

The studio just got a MASSIVE upgrade - say hello to our new Yamaha C3 Grand Piano! 😍🎶 Isn’t it a stunner?! Freshly delivered from Coach House Pianos this week, it takes our recording setup to a whole new level, opening up endless possibilities for recording, composing, and performing ✨

This has only been possible thanks to the support from Creative Wales and the Welsh Government, as one of 21 successful recipients of the Creative Wales Music Capital Fund. 🙌 A huge thanks to the whole Creative Wales team for their help throughout the process 💙

And we’re not stopping there…!🚀 A custom Studiobricks vocal booth is on its way, thanks to Black Cat Music, and our first in-house studio drum kit, provided by the incredible team at Ev-entz, will be hitting the live room soon 🥁⚡

Last weekend we had the pleasure of recording with the brilliant Porthcawl Male Voice Choir as they brought their upcoming album to life - filling Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Porthcawl with incredible sound and energy 🌟🎶

A huge thanks to everyone involved for making the day run so smoothly - from the dedicated musical team of Alec, Richard and Laura, to Marilyn, Pam and Tricia for their hospitality, and Kelly’s Deli for the top-tier buffet!

We can’t wait to share the finished album soon - it’s sounding magnificent already! 💿✨

A very meaningful time in the studio with Daf Wyn, recording with MS Society UK — more to be revealed later this year 🌟

Daf, known to viewers on Prynhawn Da S4C and Heno S4C, has used his profile as an MS Society Ambassador to raise awareness and funds for MS, including running the London Marathon in 2023 and creating a Welsh-language film for S4C about his diagnosis. It was a privilege to work with him, and a huge thanks also goes to Ben Noble for inviting us to be part of this important project.
