Based in the Riverfront Theatre, COBRA Music Studios are a contemporary recording studio for traditional styles of music. We work predominantly with small ensembles, soloists and narrators at the studio, and are specialists in on-location recording, working with choirs, brass bands and orchestral ensembles across the UK.

What a session! 🔥🎶 Absolutely loved working with Josh Hicks on a brand new track, recording some seriously HUGE backing vocals with some incredible musicians! 🎤✨

Absolutely loved working with Loz Bridge on his new single Whatever It Takes, recorded, mixed and mastered here at COBRA Music Studios! 🎶

A brilliant track packed with jazz, soul, pop and some seriously great musicianship, brought to life by an incredible team of wonderful people!:

A brilliant day recording with Caerphilly Male Voice Choir as they celebrate an incredible 120 years!🎙️🎶✨

Saturday marked the first of two recording days for this very special anniversary project, working with the choir under the direction of Musical Director Nerys and accompanied by Jo.

A fantastic day of music-making, with a wonderful sound captured throughout! We’re already looking forward to bringing everyone back together for the second recording day in October! 🎶🎧

150 voices. One unforgettable sound! 🎶✨

A fantastic day on location recording with Classical Chorus, led by the brilliant Abigail Harris, at St Columba's College School, St Albans.

There's something incredibly special about standing in the middle of around 150 voices as they come together to create such a rich, powerful sound. Days like these are exactly why I love location recording, and it's always a privilege to help capture days like this for years to come.

A huge thank you to Abigail, the choir and everyone involved for such a warm welcome. We can't wait to share more from this project soon! 🎙️

We recently had the pleasure of working with the brilliant education expert and author Mary Myatt to bring her latest book, KS3: The Ambitious Years: Why Years 7–9 Matter More Than We Think, to life in audiobook form here at COBRA Music Studios 🎙️📚

It was a real privilege to spend time with Mary in the studio recording her own words. As someone outside the classroom, I found the book a genuine eye-opener. It completely changed the way I think about Key Stage 3 and just how important those years are in shaping a young person's education.

Whether you're a teacher, school leader, parent or simply curious about how our education system works, I'd thoroughly recommend giving it a read. It offers a fascinating insight into why Years 7–9 deserve far more attention than they often receive.

Recording authors narrating their own work is always something special. There's an authenticity and passion that only the person who wrote the book can bring, and it was wonderful to help capture that for listeners.

Congratulations, Mary, on another fantastic publication. We can't wait for everyone to hear the audiobook! 🎧✨

We recently had the pleasure of recording author Deborah Rose Halani narrating her book, Coming Back to My Trees / Dod yn ôl at fy Nghoed, here at COBRA Music Studios 🌿🎙️

A deeply personal and lyrical exploration of hiraeth, heritage, spirituality and belonging, the book journeys through the landscapes, myths and sacred places of Wales with real warmth and honesty.

Deborah recorded the audiobook in our custom-built Studiobricks booth, creating the perfect space to capture every nuance of the story 🌲✨

Projects like this are a reminder of how powerful spoken storytelling can be, especially when a voice is so closely connected to the words on the page.

The book is available now in paperback, and we’re excited for listeners to experience the audiobook version too 📚🎧

Fresh from winning the 2026 Battle of the Bands at The Foundry, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming The Lost & Found into the studio to record three properly incredible tracks 🔥

The band brought serious energy from the very first take. Big riffs, massive choruses, and the kind of live chemistry that makes the control room lights up like a Christmas tree 🎛️🔥🎶⚡️
