Authors & Co

Authors & Co From a work in progress, to a work of art, Authors & Co passionately co-walk the book dream journey Think of us as your publishing confidantes.

The friends who'll be honest about that metaphor that's not quite working (like that questionable haircut your real friends should have warned you about), but who'll also champion your voice and celebrate your perspective. What sets us apart? Like any great relationship, it's all in the details. While other publishers might treat your book like just another project, we treat it like the masterpiec

e it has the potential to become. Our team of industry experts – who've worked with some of the biggest names in publishing – bring their magic to every page, every paragraph, and yes, even every punctuation mark. But perhaps what truly makes Authors & Co special is that we understand something fundamental: publishing a book isn't just about seeing your name in print. It's about creating something that connects and stays with readers long after they've turned the last page. It's about starting conversations, changing perspectives, and maybe even changing lives.

The true measure of your book’s success isn’t in how impressed readers are with your knowledge. It’s in how effectively they can apply it.

When you strip away the complicated terminology and professional jargon, something magical happens. Your expertise doesn’t become less valuable - it becomes more accessible. And accessible expertise is what creates real impact.

Think about the books that have genuinely changed your thinking. I’d wager they weren’t the ones that made you feel confused or inadequate? They were likely the ones that made you nod and think, “Yes, that makes perfect sense.”

At Authors & Co., we help our clients find this clarity. Not by simplifying their expertise, but by revealing it in its most powerful form - straightforward language that’s impossible to ignore.

Your expertise is too valuable to be packaged like everyone else’s.

At Authors & Co, we reject the bland, templated approach that dominates publishing. We create books with edge and intention, where every element is deliberately aligned with your brand position and business strategy.

We don’t do generic. We don’t do forgettable. We create books that cut through the noise because they’re meticulously crafted to represent exactly who you are and what you stand for.

This isn’t about making “pretty” books. It’s about creating strategic assets that work as hard as you do.

It’s about understanding that in a distracted world, presentation isn’t optional, it’s essential for capturing attention.

Your readers will feel the difference immediately. They’ll engage with a book that feels coherent and considered, where the form enhances the function rather than merely containing it.

This market is saturated with rushed, thoughtless publications, we create books with presence and purpose. Books that don’t just sit on shelves but actively work to position you exactly where you need to be.

Most authors write for demographics. For target audiences. For market segments.

But what if you wrote for Sara? Not 35-55 year old female executives. Not decision-makers in the financial sector. Just Sara – the client whose transformation was so profound it reminded you why you do what you do.

When you write to everyone, you connect with no one. When you write to someone, you connect with many.

Think about how your book would change…

Your language would shift from formal to conversational. You’d use “you” a lot more too. You’d reference specific challenges you know this person faces rather than generic industry problems.

Your examples would become more targeted, more relevant, more immediately applicable. You’d naturally anticipate objections because you’d hear this person’s voice in your head saying “But what about...”

You’d know exactly which technical terms need explanation and which are already understood.

Most importantly, your writing would carry emotional resonance that generic market-focused content never achieves. You’d write with the clarity and conviction that comes from knowing exactly who needs your message and why.

The book industry trains authors to think broadly. But the most impactful books feel like they were written just for you.

So who’s your Sara? And how would writing directly to them transform not just your book, but its impact on every reader who recognises themselves in that conversation?

Authors writing to be remembered may create books that win praise but not always clients.

Authors writing to be contacted focus on conversion. They strategically position pain points, include deliberate implementation gaps, and natural transition points that lead readers to reach out.

This isn’t about sacrificing quality - it’s about prioritising purpose.

Your readers won’t remember 90% of your content regardless of how brilliantly it’s written. What they will remember is how your book made them feel about their challenges and whether you positioned yourself as the logical next step in their journey.

I’ve watched too many experts pour their knowledge into beautifully written manuscripts that sit on shelves collecting dust and admiration, but not generating calls.

One strategic shift is simple - every chapter should answer an immediate question while simultaneously creating a more valuable question that points toward your services.

So which are you writing - a keepsake or a conversation starter?

When your ideal client faces their biggest challenge, whose name comes to mind first?

If it’s not yours, your expertise deserves better visibility.

Your wisdom is too valuable to remain locked in your head or limited to one-to-one client work.

Stop leaving your business growth to chance. Turn your expertise into a strategic tool that creates recognition, builds authority, and generates opportunities even when you’re focused elsewhere.

What conversation would most directly lead to your highest-value offering? That’s the conversation your book should deliberately engineer.

Stop writing a book that make readers think. Your book should make readers act.

The most valuable business conversation isn’t the one that praises your book, it’s the one that begins your client relationship.

The How:

1. Know your turning points. What specific problems do clients typically face right before they hire you? Build your book around these key moments.

2. Leave strategic gaps. Give enough value to show your expertise but leave room for implementation questions. Your book should solve the “what” and “why” while creating a degree of hunger for the “how.”

3. Include decision moments. Create chapters that naturally lead readers to look at their situation and spot gaps your services could fill.

4. Build clear bridges. Include stories of clients who faced similar challenges and found success through working with you - not to show off, but to show what’s possible.

5. Create strong next steps. Don’t end chapters with summaries. End with questions that prompt readers to think about how they’ll use what they’ve learned - and what help they might need.

A strategic book doesn’t just share knowledge. It guides readers to realise they need more than information, they need support to put it into practice.

That conversation doesn’t happen by chance.

You plan for it.

Or you can let my brain do the thinking of how we can do it…

Embracing Our Specialisation in 2025 👩🏻‍🦰

Publishing houses have always had imprints - specialised divisions with unique focus and expertise. Random House has Vintage. Penguin has Portfolio. Each represents a targeted approach to serving specific readers.

Now in 2025, we’ve fully embraced our identity as a publisher with a difference by developing our own framework that shares its name with these publishing divisions: IMPRINT.

Our IMPRINT framework represents everything we stand for:

Intention: Define the strategic purpose of your book
Message: Target your perfect-fit clients with tailored content
Position: Establish your specialised market position
Revenue: Create clear pathways to business growth
Impact: Determine specific metrics to measure success
Nurture: Build relationships that extend beyond the final page
Transform: Deliver professional content that drives results

This isn’t entirely new territory for us. We’ve always been a different kind of publisher, working strategically with business authors. But now we’ve distilled our expertise into a system that makes our specialisation even more powerful.

Our evolution from publisher to strategic publishing partner didn’t happen overnight, it happened book by book, author by author. Now it’s your turn. Is 2025 the year your expertise finally makes its mark through a book that’s as strategic as you are?

Your evolution begins with a simple conversation.

Both traditional and self-publishing ask you to choose between two flawed paths.

One surrenders your control. The other surrenders your support.

What ambitious business authors need is strategic publishing, where your book is designed from the first page to the last as a deliberate business asset. A book crafted not just to share ideas, but to create specific, measurable outcomes for your business.

Strategic publishing means every decision, from your title to your launch strategy - aligns with your business goals. It means understanding that how your book reaches the world is just as important as what’s inside it.

Your book shouldn’t just sit on a shelf collecting dust or validation. It should be actively working for you, opening doors, generating leads, and establishing authority while you sleep.

Stop asking which publishing path to follow. Start asking how your book can become the most powerful business tool you’ve ever created.

Your readers are trapped in their current level of thinking.

They’re hunting for tactical solutions when their real breakthroughs lie in strategic shifts they haven’t considered. They’re focused on “how to” when they should be questioning “whether to” or “why.”

This is your opportunity. Your book shouldn’t just answer their surface-level questions, it should elevate their questioning.

The expert simply answers. The authority reframes.

Your market doesn’t know what it doesn’t know. Your readers can’t articulate the questions that would actually solve their problems because they don’t have your perspective. They’re trapped in their current thinking, which is precisely what created their challenges.

Your book fails if it meets readers exactly where they are. It succeeds when it pulls them to where they need to be.

Don’t just solve the problems they bring you. Reveal the problems they should have brought you instead.

Write the book you were born to write.

From hopeful to happening…

Just months from now, the book that you have always dreamed of writing could be in your hands.

Imagine…

Receiving that very first copy of your book, carefully opening it, feeling it for the first time and even smelling the paper. That beautiful cover, that title you celebrated once your decision was final and all of those pages filled with your words.
