Kilkeel Chamber of Commerce is hosting a local Aristan / Twilight Market taking place this Friday 18th July from 6:00pm - 9:00pm at The Events Space / Lower Square, Kilkeel Town Centre.

Everyone is invited too come along for an evening of fresh local produce, handmade goods, live music from singers, and and array of children's entertainment with amusements rides, and Eureka Seekers.

Car parking will be available in the ‘bonfire field’ on the Manse Road, Kilkeel for our 11th July Afternoon Fun Day.

This car parking will be free for any performers who are taking part in our 11th Afternoon Fun Day.

For any other members of the public wishing to park in the field, there will be a small donation of £5 for the use of the car park. Please note, this will be cash only.

Our marshals will be on site throughout the morning and afternoon to help with car parking. 🦺

Please note, all vehicles parked in the ‘Bonfire Field’ must exit the field immediately after the 11th Afternoon Fun Day.

We would kindly ask people to be mindful when parking their cars in other areas, ensuring they do not block anyones driveways or entrances.

It’s less than 3 weeks to go to our Fly-In! We can’t wait to welcome so many of you to the Fly-In event of the year at Kilkeel Airfield Co. Down.

Some people have been asking what our plan is for bad weather, which unfortunately we can get plenty of in this country! If we determine in the days leading up to 26th that the weather is due to be poor for Flying and BBQing, we have a Back Up Date of Saturday the 2nd of August, hopefully this maximises our chances for a great day!

🚨🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨🚨

TAPROOM OPENING 19/07/25

To say this has been a long time coming is an understatement.

We were delighted to have our producers licence granted on the 13th of June.
This lets us now sell our beer direct to our lovely customers.

Whilst our taproom has been open on occasion in the past, we now have the ability to open weekly.

You read that right… fresh pints of your favourite Beer Hut beers straight from the source. The way it should be !

You can now buy cans straight from our fully stocked beer fridge everyday.

On weekends we will have 10 taps pouring the freshest hoppy beer, crisp lagers and chunky stouts you can handle!

Will there be food ?

Of course !

Our pizza oven will be put to good use with the launch of our in house pizza from Dough Bros.

You’ll be able to walk in and order pizza for takeaway or sit in whilst grabbing a pint !

More on that end of things soon though.

But for now… mark your calendars for the 19th.

📅Join Historic Environment Division (HED) on Saturday, 2nd of August, from 11am-4pm for a free festival! No need to book in advance - just show up and enjoy a variety of activities for all ages!

🦅Expect archery, falconry, living history re-enactments, a pop-up museum, music, street performers, and so much more! Plus, learn about the castle's fascinating history - it was built around 1177 by John De Courcy as part of his coastal defence after invading Ulster.

📍The castle is located on a wooded hill north-west of Dundrum village near Newcastle with stunning views over Dundrum Bay. Parking is available within Dundrum Village, and access to the Castle is via Castle Hill. However, please note that the Dundrum Castle car park is only open to Blue Badge holders, and access around the castle may be challenging for wheelchair users as the site is a sloping rocky knoll.
