The Schomberg Society is an Ulster-Scots umbrella organisation based in Reivers House in the Kingdom of Mourne. We are a very busy organisation working with many different groups and thousands of people throughout the year! Some of the projects we are best known for include our Ulster-Scots Festival, Fusefm Community Radio Station, outreach and support with the Armed Forces Community, promotion of

What a fantastic time we all had today during the first day of our Ulster-Scots Summer Scheme in Kilkeel Primary School! ๐Ÿ™Œ

60 boys and girls enjoyed coming together to take part in Ulster-Scots, with a focus today on Music & Dance! ๐ŸŽถ ๐Ÿฉฐ

The boys and girls enjoyed trying their hand at Drum Majoring, Highland Bagpipes, Scottish Highland Dancing, and some Ulster-Scots Singing and Games! ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

We also had a visit from the PSNI, where the weans got to learn a wee bit about the importance of staying safe in the community! ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿš“

One of the highlights of our 11th July Afternoon Ulster-Scots Fun Day was our Kirknarra School of Dance hosting their own Highland Dance Competition! ๐Ÿ’ซ

It created a fantastic atmosphere in the field, with the skirl of the pipes and dozens of dancers showing off their stunning kilt outfits! ๐Ÿคฉ

A huge thank you to all of the wonderful dancers from across all of our Tutor Kathrynโ€™s schools, who took part in the competition - you were all stars! โœจ

As part of this yearโ€™s Hairtlan Festival, it was great to have hosted an Ulster-Scots Tay Dance at Mourne Stimulus Day Centre in Kilkeel.

Mourne Stimulus are a terrific charity, and it was super to see everyone enjoying the music and singing during our Tay Dance! ๐ŸŽน

Itโ€™s always brilliant to bring Ulster-Scots music into new venues! ๐ŸŽถ

A huge congratulations once again to Kirknarra Dancers Rachel Wilson (3rd Overall Winner) and Mya Campbell (4th Overall Winner) in the All Ireland Highland Dance Championships! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†

Well done to our Drum Major Tutor Emma Barr, who along with other members of the Northern Ireland Drum Major Display Team were competing today in South Africa! ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

Congratulations to Emma who made the final in the Open Grade, and got placed second! ๐Ÿ‘

Emma also had the honour of leading the massed pipes and drums at the finale as senior drum major! ๐Ÿคฉ

๐Ÿš—๐Ÿšœ Cranfield Single Star LOL 907 - Car & Tractor Run 2025 ๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿš—

Cranfield LOL will be holding their TRACTOR AND CAR RUN this evening (Saturday 26th July 2025) - Leaving Cranfield Orange Hall at 6.00pm.

The run will leave the hall, travel along Cranfield Road, turn left onto Ballynahatten Road, at the Ballyardle cross road turn left down the Corcreaghan Road. Onto the Benagh Road, through Cranfield Caravan Park, back onto the Cranfield Road and return to the hall.

Before and after the run burgers and drinks will be on-sale at the hall.

Minimum donation of ยฃ10 for car and tractor (Tickets will be issued to get a complimentary burger and drink)
