“It would be monumental, to be honest,” said Jason Duffy when asked what winning the Gerry Fagan Cup would mean to Cullyhanna.

“There's no way really to describe that. I know we put in a massive shift in the Intermediate Championship, getting an All-Ireland out of that, but in the back of your mind, you always knew there was something bigger and something that you wanted more and this is it."

Bars across the city are joining in with a collaborative fancy dress music night on Saturday 25 October.

12 bars and hospitality outlets across Newry are hosting the city’s largest ever fancy-dress competition. Simply dress up on Saturday 25th October and go to any of the participating bars from 9pm.

There will be prizes in all venues with the winners going forward as finalists for Newry BID’s Best Fancy Dress.

The venue will take a photo of their winner; followers on BID’s page will get to vote for their favourite with the winner picking up a £250 voucher prize package.
