BEFORE → FRESH → 6 WEEKS HEALED 🤍

This is why I always try to show healed work whenever I can… if I actually remember to take the photos 🤣

I’m usually so focused on the treatment, checking the healed result and getting started on the perfecting session that remembering to take a photo first occasionally goes completely out of my head. 🙈

Thankfully, I remembered with this one!

These photos show the full journey from her natural brow before treatment, to immediately after her first microblading session, and finally the healed result 6 weeks later.

So that healed result is after ONE session. ✨

The colour has softened, as we expect it to, but those individual hairstrokes are still beautifully visible and have blended into her natural brow hair.

And that’s exactly why I love showing the before photo too. You can see what was naturally there to begin with, what was added during treatment, and how those implanted hairstrokes actually healed within the skin.

Fresh brows are lovely to photograph, but the real test of permanent makeup is how it looks once the skin has healed.

And apparently the real test for me is remembering to get the camera out first. 🤣🤍

Fresh vs healed lip blush 💋

One of the biggest misconceptions about lip blush is that the colour you see immediately after treatment is the colour it will stay.

It isn’t.

Immediately after treatment, lips can look much brighter and more intense than you were expecting. As they heal, that colour softens significantly, leaving behind a much more subtle tint.

These photos show the same lip blush treatment — the brighter images are immediately after, while the softer pink images show the healed result. ✨

This is why I always choose pigment with the healed result in mind, not simply how it looks on the day.

Lip blush isn’t about creating a permanently “lipstick” look. For me, it’s about enhancing what’s naturally there — improving definition, adding a soft wash of colour and creating a result that still looks like you once healed.

And this is exactly why seeing healed work matters when you’re choosing a permanent makeup artist. 🤍
