A Night of Frights and Family Fun
ROF59 is set to transform into a haunted haven of thrills and chills this October as the much-anticipated Halloween Spooktakular returns on Friday 31st October from 5.00pm to 8.30pm.
The annual family event has become a highlight of Newton Aycliffe’s seasonal calendar, drawing visitors from across the region. This year promises to be bigger, bolder and scarier than ever before, with a wide range of activities and entertainment to delight children and adults alike.
Guests can look forward to the legendary Scare Walk, where ghouls and ghosts wait around every corner, as well as a spine-tingling Halloween disco to keep the party atmosphere alive. For those seeking more physical thrills, the centre’s trampolines and high runway will be open throughout the evening.
The truly fearless can even test their nerves on the towering 19-metre Drop Zone – if they dare.
Adding to the fun, every child will receive a sweet Halloween treat thanks to local business Shake ’n’ Cake, and there will be prizes awarded for the most creative and spooktacular fancy dress costumes.
A fully stocked bar and refreshments will also be available, ensuring that parents and guardians can enjoy the evening just as much as the children.
This year’s Spooktakular is being held in support of Five Acres Community Garden, a much-valued local initiative that provides space for growing, learning and wellbeing within the community.
By attending, families will not only enjoy a magical evening of Halloween fun, but also help raise vital funds for an organisation that benefits so many in Newton Aycliffe and beyond.
Event organiser, Aycliffe Radio, said: “We are thrilled to be bringing back the Halloween Spooktakular for another year. It’s an event that families look forward to and we love seeing the community come together to celebrate in such a fun way.
With the scare walk, disco, trampolines and of course the Drop Zone, there really is something for everyone – and it’s all in aid of a fantastic local cause.”
Tickets are on sale now and are priced at £15 for under 16s and £10 for over 16s (plus a 50p booking fee). All attendees require a ticket to enter, and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
