Who do you know that lives in Newton-le-Willows, is over 60 and would like to get out more and make some new friends?

Make sure you tell them that Crownway Community Centre in Earlestown runs a fortnightly social group for over 60s - a relaxed afternoon of bingo, quizzes, and card games from 1-3pm on Thursdays.

At just £3 a session (including tea, coffee, biscuits and bingo), it's a great way to spend a few hours and get to know people locally.

CycleTots balance bike sessions now take place weekly at Culcheth Community Centre - a fun, play-based way to help your little one build a skill they'll love for life 🚲

These games-based sessions run by Fox Cycling Cheshire North, introduce children aged two-and-a-half to five-years-old to balance bikes, building coordination, confidence and real cycling skills - giving little ones all the foundations they need so that when the time comes to move onto a pedal bike, they're ready to fly.

Balance bikes and helmets are all provided, so there's nothing you need to bring.

There are two time slots to choose from - 1.15pm to 2pm or 2.05pm to 2.50pm - and at just £20 for three taster sessions, it's a brilliant way to see if your child loves it.

Can't make it to Culcheth? Fox Cycling have sessions right around our area, so visit their website and take your pick!
