One of the best standalone controllers you can buy just got better.

The RANE SYSTEM ONE now supports Algoriddim djay Pro as an OmniSource option, arriving with the Engine OS 5.2.0 update.

Honest take: I've been using djay a lot more over the past few years. Serato's been falling behind for how I play, while djay has kept pushing on stems and workflow. Having it running through the SYSTEM ONE's motorised platters is exactly what I was hoping for.

OmniSource means you can move between standalone Engine DJ and a software source without rebooting. Play off USB, hand over to djay on a laptop or phone, then back again.

What you need
• Engine OS v5.2.0 or higher on the SYSTEM ONE
• djay Pro v5.6.9 or higher
• Update on the unit over Wi-Fi, or with a USB drive or computer
• Switch between standalone and software sources without a reboot
• 7.2" high-torque motorised platters and Mag Four crossfader

Two nights, one reason: remembering DJ Tizer.

Sunday night I'm live from DJ Maximus HQ for the One Love Promotions tribute stream with Deejay Maximus, MCDC and Tyler. It's classic tracks from the 90s NI rave days and Tizer's legendary cassette tape mixes, one year on since we lost my good friend Tony Walsh

Next Saturday I'm on the bill for The Return of The Rendezvous at the Belmont Hotel in Banbridge, alongside Trevor Reilly (first time in 15 years), MC Cyclone, Eddie Wray and a stacked room of DJ talent.
