INSTAGRAM TERMS 📲

🌟 Views = The total number of times your content is displayed
🌟 Reach = The number of unique accounts that have seen your content at least once
🌟 Interactions = The number of likes, saves, comments and shares on your post
🌟 Accounts Engaged = The number of unique accounts that have interacted with the post
🌟 Engagement Rate = The % of people who interact with your post
🌟 Profile Activity = The number of actions that people take when they visit your profile
🌟 Saves = How many times your post has been bookmarked

CONTENT TERMS 🤳🏻

🌟 POV / Point of View = A style of content that shows your perspective or experience
🌟 UGC/ User-Generated Content = Content made by customers or creators, not brands. Think reviews or unboxings made by real people
🌟 Original Audio = Sound that you create or record yourself for your post or reel instead of using someone else’s
🌟Trending Audio = Popular sounds or music clips going viral on Instagram, often used to increase reach
🌟 B-roll = Extra footage or background video used with a VoiceOver or text overlay. Think behind the scenes or filler clips
🌟 Visual Hook = The first thing someone sees in your post or video that grabs their attention, e.g. bold on-screen text
🌟 Spoken Hook = The first words you say out loud in a video to grab attention
🌟 Call to Action = A specific prompt that tells your audience what to do next, e.g. comment below
🌟 Evergreen Content = Content that stays relevant over time, like tips or how-to posts that are not tied to trends or seasons

Are you up to date with social media right now? 🫣

There’s been some BIG updates in the last couple of weeks, but I’ve got everything you need to know right here for you… 🧡

🌟 Shared Access - Invite up to 3 people to access your account and set permissions. This is a win for social media managers or multi-person teams! Password sharing is not required which means your account stays secure. To access, go to your profile, tap ‘menu’ on the top right, tap ‘shared access’, tap ‘invite people’ and set your access level.

🌟 Coloured Instagram Notes - Instagram is rolling out new coloured backgrounds and emojis to notes! This is a fun way to align your notes with your brand! To access, click on ‘new note’, long press on the note itself, customise with a colour and emoji, then click ‘apply’!

🌟 ‘Lately’ Highlights - A new feature being tested by Instagram that automatically creates a highlight on your profile showing your stories from the past 7 days! If this feature is enabled on your account it will automatically pop up and ask you to enable it.

🌟 Edits Teleprompter - Edits is rolling out a new teleprompter. You can speak directly to the camera, with the script presented in the best positioning for addressing the audience. To access, navigate to the recording tab on Edits. Select the teleprompter icon from the menu on the left-hand side.

🌟 Transcribed DM’s - Hate listening to voice notes? Instagram is rolling out text transcription of voice messages in DM’s so that you can read them instead. When someone sends you a voice note, simply click on ‘View transcription’.

🌟 TikTok is testing the ability to schedule content in-app - This has been available in TikTok Studio for a while, but the ability to do this natively in the app will actually be a game changer!

🌟 Repost to Feed - Instagram is testing a new feature that will allow you to repost other people’s content to your feed. It will also have a dedicated tab on your profile. To access, click the ‘repost’ button on any content you like. Tap ‘add a thought’ to add your own text.

🌟 Respond to stories of big accounts in your niche
🌟 Go to the explore page and interact with 5 posts in your niche

⏰ AFTER POSTING - 30 MINS
🌟 Share your post to your stories with a poll or engagement sticker
🌟 Like all of the comments from your previous post to drive engagement on your new one
🌟 Respond to comments on your new post ASAP and start conversations to boost engagement
🌟 Pin a comment asking a question related to the post to set the tone for your engagement
🌟 Go to your following feed and leave 10 meaningful comments on the most recent posts
🌟 Reciprocate engagement from your previous post to build relationships and encourage engagement
