Life’s too short to wait for the ‘perfect’ season to enjoy your home 🤏🏾

I remember being told velvet dining chairs were a terrible decision with kids. 🧍🏾‍♀️

… and don’t get me wrong, they do get dirty. But guess what? Most marks come off, and it’s nowhere near as bad as people made it out to be!

Everything in life comes with a trade-off. I’d rather spend a few extra minutes cleaning my dining chairs than years looking at furniture I never really loved.

Your home is meant to be lived in, not just protected. So don’t spend so much time preparing your home for the possibility of mess that you forget to create a space you actually enjoy living in.

After all, you live there every single day. Make sure it feels like you. 🤍

God came thru I guess 🫠

I love a random, non-essential prayer and these are the ones God always seems to answer expeditiously!

I wanted a man to pay for my fuel and today that prayer was ‘officially’ crossed off the list.. the issue is I didn’t specify the man I wanted to do this for me and one thing about God, He’s a joker and loves to show me that I don’t need a man. So as I pulled up to the fuel station again today, I did a double take because guess who was about to leave the fuel station🧍🏾‍♀️
.my dad 😭😭😭 he pumped and paid for my fuel!

So let this be your reminder that God cares about all your desires so you better be specific when you’re asking for something

But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done.

‘God is good’.. but it doesn’t always feel like it 🧍🏾‍♀️

Life’s been kicking me in the teeth mehnnn and I’ve barely had enough energy to lift myself up let alone come on here and encourage ya’ll.. but the way God works is really annoying because why is it that the moment when I’m spiritually/mentally/emotionally depleted my stats on here all of a sudden spike 🫠
I’ve been feeling off - my bible was starting to collect dust and my church attendance was lowkey feeling like a school register and tbh the christianese ‘just trust God’ was doing absolutely nothing for me.. on Monday I was minding my business and the verse of the day (Psalms 42:5) popped up on my screen and it made me rethink ‘praise’.. it’s crazy how a verse I’ve read before was ave to bring me comfort when I needed it and He doesn’t want or need the grand theatrics for it to count as praise, sometimes having a ‘tantrum’ is ok!

I’ve been dragging my feet with posting because I didn’t want to post something disingenuous so I’m praying this does whatever it’s meant to do ✨ and if you’re new here, say hi in the comments!

Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become restless and disturbed within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence.

This ‘incomplete’ scripture is causing a lil controversy 🫣

The main aim for this piece was to play around with a different way of making the texture and I didn’t have space to put the whole of Joshua 24:15 so I settled for this part.. When my mum saw it, she was like ‘what will you and your household do??’ 🫩 and a few more people that have come over have also said a similar thing!
So were they right? I liked it like this 🧍🏾‍♀️

Not boring, just born again ✨🫶🏾

I was baptised 3 years ago in Jan and since then I’ve had to cut out a lot of things that don’t nurture the WOG I know I’m called to be, but also embracing parts of me that align with my purpose. And the result? A life full of peace and deeper sense of meaning.

Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.
