With just days to go before the gates open for the original vets race, the Farleigh Castle Vets MX this weekend (September 10-13), the British team has been announced for the highlight race on the schedule: the Farleigh Castle team race.

The team consists of Brad Anderson, fresh off his team victory at the biggest event on the UK vets calendar, the VMXdN held this year at Hawkstone, where Brad joined with his teammates Elliott Banks Browne and Tommy Searle to the number 1 spot in front of many AMA and world champions. He has the choice of a YZ 250 or CR 500, as always prepped by ace spanner man Steve Clitheroe, so machinery is never an issue. Anderson is right up to speed and a no-brainer for any team, as he always puts in 100% and leaves nothing on the table.

Steven Clarke is next on the team roster, again a front-runner at VMXdN on his CR500. The former world champion was lighting out of the gate and put the grassy hillsides of the iconic Farleigh circuit firmly on his list of favourites. As a new father, Steven has found his spark and is racing seriously well at present and is a sure-fire bet to be at the sharp end when the gates drop on September 12.

Returning to the British squad is journeyman racer Josh Spinks, a member of the winning British squad from the 2025 event. He is blisteringly quick and looking forward to carrying the country honours in 2026. Spinks will jump on board the SPD Honda that was ridden by Ronnie Mac at VMXdN last month, with Steve Denton spinning the spanners.

And here’s the best bit… their truck will be on site all weekend, loaded with everything you need, and plenty of stuff you never knew you wanted!

Former HRC Honda racer and multiple GP winner Evgeny Bobryshev is coming to the green fields of Farleigh Castle Vets MX to flex his muscles and show his super impressive speed on the grassy hillside.

The former British champion, who lived in Holland for 17 years, will come to Farleigh for the first time in the vets races and is sure to be one of the front runners, if his performance at VMXdN Foxhill on a CR500 was anything to go by!

Bobryshev will race a 1992 Honda CR 500 supplied and prepped by his former team manager Neil Prince and will work out of his long-time sponsor SC Sporthomes for the weekend. He will also have his 2009 HRC CRF 450 on display, though he prefers the comfy seat on the 500!

The countdown is on… Farleigh Castle Vets MX roars back into Somerset in just one week, September 10th–13th 2026! Now in its 17th consecutive year and celebrating its third season under the new management that’s taken entries, crowds and track prep to a whole new level, this is the OG vets event returning to the most picturesque and natural GP circuit in the country. For 2026, riders will be tearing across four decades of era-correct machinery, with the twin shock class reinstated and a brand-new 4-stroke era class added to the mix, expect practice and two full races each day, plus a nostalgia-packed legends parade in Sunday’s lunch break, all building to the legendary Farleigh Vets MX team race that delivers the bar-to-bar action fans travel from across the UK and abroad to witness.

After numerous years of good service to various riders at past VMXDN Farleigh Castle & Foxhill events it's time to sell our APM Components 1985 Honda CR250.
She's all prepped and ready for H Moto Whaddon MX practice track facilities Kelvin HAmmer to race this years Farleigh Castle Vets MX meeting and then she can go to a new home. If anyone is seriously interested in buying her then come and talk to us in the team race pit area or message us after the event.

We don’t use the word legend very often, but Mike Brown is the exception. He is the original legend of this event; anyone who saw “Brownie” on full gas at the Farleigh circuit at past events will attest to the spectacle of one of the world’s most accomplished racers who can really ride the wheels off these Evo 2-strokes; there’s no other racer quite like him.

Last year Brownie unfortunately suffered a neck injury whilst out training the current crop of factory Triumph racers in his day job stateside, and it was pretty serious; in fact, had he not been one of the fittest people we know, things could have worked out much worse for him. The good news is Mike isn’t only back on his feet, he is back on a bike and is keen to travel to Farleigh to see his fans, put some time in the commentary booth with Roger Warren and Jeff Perrett and best off-he’s going to do some parade laps on one of the DocWob built YZ 250’s, his first time back on an evo bike and the first time outside the states! He has promised he will be back in 2027 to captain Team America, and we, for one, don’t ever doubt him.
