🎶 An Evening of Music in Worksop! 🎶

Anston Male Voice Choir returns for its annual concert on Saturday 10th October at 7pm at The Crossing Church & Centre, Worksop.

This year’s special guest is Laura Magann, Sheffield’s international classical crossover and musical theatre star, performing songs from London’s West End to the bright lights of Broadway! ✨

Sherwood signs off its 40th Festival year with not one, not two, but three days of performances, displays and activities, headlined by none other than The Sherwood Outlaws 🏹

A different tale will be told in two parts on each day, as Robin Hood and the outlaws come face to face with a new Sheriff of Nottingham.

Fun Day at The Crossing Church & Centre 🎉 As The Crossing continues its 20th year celebrations they, will hold a Fun Day on Saturday 22nd August from 10am to 4pm, where The Musicality Singers will be making a special appearance 🎶 and the cafe will be open for drinks and homemade cake 🍰

Enjoy the outdoors with Worksop ramblers 🥾🌿 This months walks are planned in the Bolsover, Laxton, Staunton Harold, Winster, Alport Heights and Wingerworth areas.

The group’s programme includes walks on most Sundays and alternate Thursdays, with a range of grades from leisurely (A) to strenuous (C). Most walks are between seven and nine miles long.

Visitors are always very welcome and are invited to ‘try out’ the group on up to three walks before deciding whether to join the Ramblers. Are you a member?

🌳 Visiting Thoresby Park this weekend?

Please note a few temporary changes while Gloworm Festival is taking place:

🚗 Limited parking – no overflow parking available
☕ The Courtyard shops, cafés and businesses remain open as usual
🥾 Some walking routes will be temporarily restricted (Visitor Centre staff can advise on open routes)
🧺 Picnic areas by the river remain open, although some park space will be unavailable

If you're planning a visit, please be aware of a few temporary changes while Gloworm Festival is taking place:

🚗 Parking will be limited with no overflow parking available on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

☕ The Courtyard will remain open as usual, with our shops, cafes and businesses ready to welcome you.

🥾 Some walking routes will have restricted access due to the festival site setup. Our Visitor Centre will be happy to help and advise which walks are open.

🧺 While the festival infrastructure is in place, there will be less park space to enjoy than usual. Our river and picnic area is still accessible.

There’s plenty happening at Aurora Wellbeing this summer!

✨ They're trialling Saturday opening until 5 September, with the charity shop, tearoom, beauty treatments, gym classes and more.

📝 Young writers can enter Aurora’s Summer Short Story Competition, with free creative writing workshops available throughout August.

👶 New parent and toddler classes have also launched, including BabyBeats and Mindful Movers Yoga.
