A project I've been working on in the midst of onboarding new clients and getting myself organised for a newsletter, is Client Projects! This was created because Semrush was telling me my competitors had a lot more copy on their website, and saying all the right Marketing terminology:
- paid ads
- social media platform
- social media marketing
That's when it hit me: I am not talking about the difference I've made to my clients, because for some bizarre reason, I thought that information had to stay confidential. When I emailed everyone and they all confirmed they were happy for me to talk about working with them, what I've done and some statistics, I realised it must've just been an idea in my head I got fixated on that I couldn't talk about them.
In conclusion and what I've learnt from this...
✅ Client Projects is live on my website now if you want to see the differences I've made to businesses
✅ Keep udating your website with little tweaks, new pages and the SEO regualrly because it tells Google your business is still open, and you care about your rank in the search engine
✅ Asking for permission before talking about working with another business demonstrates common decency, and to me, is just the right way to go about things. I have since learnt from this, and now have this topic as a clause in all my client agreements they have to agree to.
✅ Being creative is fun, especially if you've got an idea of something, but don't have a vision for the end result, so it involves constantly trying out new designs, colour scheme and wording.
✅ An opportunity to talk about what you're good at in your business, and the problems you're solving other people can't solve...that's something one should never miss out on!
Don't be afraid to talk about what you're good at! The right people will be interested to hear what you know, so share that knowledge. 🤩
