We at Lumina are delighted to be delivering our upcoming programme with support from Northampton Town Council during November, December and January. We’re excited to host 25 creative workshops as part of this initiative and look forward to getting the programme underway soon.

And that’s a wrap! Our funded workshop series with Northamptonshire Community Foundation has officially come to an end, and what an incredible journey it’s been.

Over the past months, we’ve seen creativity ignite, confidence grow, and connections form between young artists who walked in as strangers and left as collaborators. Every session was packed with energy, imagination, and pure talent.

A massive thank you to Northampton Community Foundation for believing in our vision and supporting this initiative from start to finish. And of course, heartfelt thanks to every participant who joined us, shared their creativity, and made each workshop truly special.

The feedback has been phenomenal, with participants saying they felt empowered, inspired, and motivated to keep creating.

That’s exactly why we do what we do.

We’re delighted to have been awarded the West Northamptonshire Council UKSPF grant, funded by the UK Government. This support will enable us to deliver our employability programme for underserved communities across Northamptonshire, starting early next year.

Today, Lumina Arts Alliance, in partnership with Northamptonshire Community Foundation hosted a vibrant makeup workshop led by the talented Louise Troy Make-up & Hairstyling

Held in the heart of Northampton at our beautiful George Row space, participants immersed themselves in a session filled with creativity, colour, and confidence-building. The atmosphere was joyful and uplifting, with everyone leaving not only with new skills but also with a real sense of fulfilment.

A powerful two-day initiative called Walls of Change recently brought together young people in Semilong to explore the connection between environment and mental health — and to physically transform their surroundings.

Louise Troy in association with & recently completed a fantastic community project transforming a graffitied wall.

The initiative brought together a talented team: artist and painter and photographer , construction expert , and organiser/painter Louise Troy

The results were outstanding, and the response from local residents was overwhelmingly positive. From young children to older members of the community, people stopped to admire the work, often commenting on how beautiful it looked.

It was, all in all, a righteous, spiritual, and uplifting day – a shining example of creativity and community spirit coming together.

Great learning was had by all at the "Beyond the Lens" workshop with Dylan, Jake, and Jack Savage! Participants mastered studio photography from the ground up.
