Last week, our team met with the Ghana Honourable Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu while on a productive working visit to the Republic of Ghana, engaging with key leaders and institutions in education, finance, and development.
We met with:
Director-General of Ghana Tertiary Education Commission(GTEC), Prof. Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai
Head of Ghana’s Parliament Select Committee on Education, Hon. Peter Nortsu-Kotoe
Leadership of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT)
Representatives of six leading education unions
The Ghana Coalition of Education NGOs, representing over 200 education-focused NGOs
We also visited:
University of Cape Coast, where we met with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, who also serves as the Chairman of the Association of West African Universities, along with the university leadership
Pentecost University, where we had an excellent meeting with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua and the university management

On the financial front, we met with the Managing Director of Ghana Investment Bank, Dr. Zakaria Doliwura.
We also had meaningful conversations with the regional leadership of the Africa Project Against Su***de, who are doing vital work in mental health and su***de prevention.
