This mix was inspired by a theme for a wedding i am doing this month. The couple wanted music that was played at the 2 main nightclubs they used to frequent in Manchester back in the day. This mix is a mix of some of the tracks for the "Funkademia" part of their wedding celebration. They also wanted an "indie hour" as a tribute to their visits to "42" in Manchester. The indie mix will come later.

Hello people I hope that this Kenny Loggins Mix will get as much love as the Michael McDonald Mix I did a couple of months back. Thanks to everyone who pitched in with suggestions. As with all my mixes the tracks always have to “flow” nicely. I struggled fitting “Celebrate me home” anywhere in the mix, however I still think it’s a mix worthy of most sea fairing vessels. One of my first album purchases back in the day was "Arc Of A Diver", a top LP by Steve Winwood. I saw him perform as support to Steely Dan a few years back too. The guys has been releasing music since the mid 60's.........this mix is a catch up covering his entire career. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as i did mixing it. Plenty of remixes & re-edits were used to aid its smoothness.

My favourite "current" band get the mixtape treatment. The soundtrack for our first barbeque of the summer sounds like this, featuring tracks from YGSF LPs plus a few deeper non-LP cuts. I like the music that much i havent shortened the tracks down as much as i might usually - though it does feature 17 "Northern Rascal Edits" to help the groove "keep it smooth". What is going on ? This is a new style for me. Okay so we got a little bit of sunshine earlier than we are used to here in the UK and the wedding DJ requests seem to have gone bonkers. Here at "Cheshire Wedding DJs" we get the odd "new country" request but not as many as have landed in my inbox in the last 4 weeks. Being a soul & funk kinda guy i had to step up and do my research as you cant just try and "wing it".....its not my style. So 2 weeks at "New Country School" gave me the ears to come up with this mix. As i said its not my usual style so to me it sounds like a good "flow" but to an "actual country music DJ".......it might be "way off" lol. Please feel free to comment - I'd genuinely like to know. Either way i quite enjoyed putting it together......hopefully you will enjoy listening to it.
