We are into 1977 for this 2 part mix, all the classics are here (i think) with part 2 to drop soon. This year starts with a fast cut (Red Light Spells Danger) and ends with a slowie (Commodores - Easy)......im not sure how that happened but it did. I hope you enjoy the mix - even though for some reason these disco mixes get less listens than my Phil Collins mix, lol. Either way i am enjoying putting them together........with a little help from "James Hamilton’s Disco Pages 1975-1982" – (Hardback available from superweirdsubstance.com). I dont really "do books" but if you like historical record reviews, this and its follow up book are essential reading.

One of my favourite "newer" bands. They've only released 7 LPs lol. Either way they are on tour at the moment - If you get a chance to see them, take it. They are as good "live" as in a studio situation. I went to see them at St Marys Church in Shrewsbury last month. My first time in a church for some time lol. Smooth blue eyed soul for the masses. The main character "Andy Platts" is one of the geezers behind "Young Gun Silver Fox" .......so if you like them - this should groove you. I had to do quite a few DJ Edits for this one. Here is part 1 of the second of 6 Disco Mixes covering the years 1975 - 1980. At 5 hours long it seemed a bit too long for one post, so i have split it in two, which just shows how much the disco releases increase in a 12 month period.
