I've got a few shows booked, including some lined up for review in early 2026, but what about you guys? What shows are you looking forward to, local to you? Or perhaps you're performing in a production that you want to mention. Do let me know! 🎙️🎭

Just 2 weeks until Guys and Dolls opens at the Arts Theatre Cambridge. Do not be a moocher standing on the sidelines when the action goes down. Get yourself a ticket before they are rarer than an honest dice game in a New York basement.

Two weeks, folks. That is all I am saying.

Tickets at the link in the comments.

It's been quite a year for theatre in East Anglia with a number of incredible shows that have both toured here and been produced by some of our wonderful community companies. I've attempted to create a list of my favourites - but first, there's a few things to take into account here.
1. This is absolutely my opinion - feel free to disagree by all means.
2. I am based in Norfolk, so the vast majority of shows I see are local to me. There is some wonderful theatre happening in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk too, but time and resources means it's often not practicable to get to them.
3. I've separated community and touring (professional) shows for fairly obvious reasons. Plenty of community shows measure up well against professional ones in terms of performance, but often budget, time, and production values means it's not a fair comparison.

Read the rest of my thoughts here:

There were plenty of men (and women) in tights as Reduck Producktions' annual pantomime took to the stage at the Fisher Theatre in Bungay, with the arrow-toting folk hero taking centre stage in this festive family treat. Quinn Richards does a sterling job in the title role, having a slightly d***y c...

After their last two sell out shows at the Maddermarket Theatre, Crude Apache change direction for 2026, away from boats, the Broads and the North Sea to South Norfolk and an ancient woodland.
Based on the true story, which is still commemorated in the Watton town sign, Babes in the Wood is a genuine Norfolk pantomime.
Deep amongst the twisted trees of Wayland Wood two innocents are betrayed and left to die. Will strange magic, unexpected allies and their indomitable spirit see them through?
With all the classic panto elements and music from the fabulous Punch House Band this family show is told in Crude Apache’s inimitable style, expect catchy songs, lots of laughter and a dark twist in an atmospheric re-telling of this classic folk tale.
Crude Apache in association with the Maddermarket theatre present:
Babes in the Wood, a true Norfolk panto.
Wednesday 28th - Saturday 31st January @ 19:30 - Matinee Saturday 31st @ 14:30
Tickets £12 (£10 concessions) from:

I've got one last show to see this year, and then I'll be compiling a list of the best productions I've watched in 2025.
But what about you guys? What's the best bit of theatre you've seen in East Anglia in the last twelve months? 🎙️🎭
