Another voice returns to Amber at the weekend.
Simon Jones will be taking over from Pete Revell on Sunday morning for the next two weekends, while Pete takes a break. That's 9 until noon on Sunday morning.
A reminder Amber can still be heard playing great classic hits 24 hours a day on smart-speaker, online and on Radioplayer and MyTuner-radio.
And we're closing in on a return to DAB in Norwich, Norfolk and North Suffolk. Hopefully, more about that soon!

It's been some time but here's an UPDATE on Amber Radio.

Work is underway to bring back Amber to DAB in Norwich and Norfolk with full programming in the next few months....maybe even sooner!
In the meantime, all that great music, those classic hits continue 24 hours-a-day online, on smart-speaker, on Radioplayer or MyTuner and, of course, on the Amber website.
You can also now hear presenters MARK PRYKE and PETE REVELL back on the station on Saturday and Sunday from 9am until 12 noon.

Many thanks for all your kind messages that have come in since yesterday's news on this FB page, through the website and on email. We really appreciate the support.
UPDATE: The good news is that it's intended to run a temporary "holding" service on our on-line outputs, including smart-speaker, from midnight when the DAB signal is due to go off. Normal 'live' programmes will also remain suspended from tomorrow morning.
We hope to bring you further information in due course.

Some disappointing news.🥲
We regret to say that Amber Radio will be closing down on Saturday night.
It's been great to be back on the airwaves on DAB in Norfolk and North Suffolk and also on-line, further afield.
After a year on-air, our funds, as a mainly voluntary group, are now unfortunately insufficient to continue in the current set-up and circumstances.
All of us at Amber have been really grateful for the welcome, warm messages and strong support shown by people in the area.
We hope that you have enjoyed listening again to really local radio.
We would love to continue, but that's not possible at this time. We can add though that we are looking at other possible options for the future and so hopefully, more about that in due course.
Thanks to all of you listening who discovered the station over the weeks since the end of August last year and for the involvement of our sponsors and advertisers, especially Busseys and Smith & Pinching, who've stayed with us from day one.
Finally, thanks to all the members of our presentation and support team, who joined in with this initiative to bring back local radio.

Huge credit to all involved with the East Coast Truckers children’s convoy on Bank Holiday Sunday (Aug 25th) - so many giving up their free time for such a brilliant day out (including the police outriders).

Check it out – along with a whole host of events – on the community page of our website at www.amber.radio

And, of course, don’t forget to listen for local events on air.
