💡Social Spotlight 👉 Burnley FC

If you've not seen the videos that Burnley have been sharing on Twitter to announce their new player signings this year.. you're missing out! 🎞🎥

THE CONCEPT ➡️ Taking well known scenes from popular tv shows and movies, and adding a short clip of their new signing to become part of the scene.

WHY IT WORKS📱

🤩 Encourages Engagement and Sharing: It's the kind of content that the audience feels compelled to share their opinion on - think 'this is the best one yet' or 'you should do this scene next' kind of comments - and they immediately want to share it with a friend.

🤩 Stands out from the crowd: Burnley have stepped away from the mundane, repetitive 'head-on, player holding shirt' image that all football fans are so familiar with after many years of almost all teams using this player launch format and have produced content which is entirely different. It's one of the oldest tricks in the book for getting noticed - offer something unexpected!

🤩 Newsworthy: Breaking the barrier between social media and traditional media can sometimes be a challenge - but if you are successful, it gives your content a platform to be seen by an immensely wider audience. See image 2 and 3 for news coverage!

🤩 Platform Specific: There's a reason why these videos are shared on one platform only. They are the the perfect combination of live, current information and utter ridiculousness that Twitter is known so well for! As well as this, the videos take advantage of Twitter's much more lenient terms of use - if they were to be shared, alternatively on Facebook or Instagram, they would likely end up being removed due to the copyright and intellectual property rights terms of those platforms.

You may laugh 🤣 but the stats don't lie! Pets can (and do!) improve social media engagement!
