185 Drayton Road are working with MAP to bring a series of new creative workshops for young people aged 11-19yrs to Mile Cross
throughout November and December. Come and try something different and learn a new skill!
All workshops are free to join and you don’t need to sign up, just come along on the day! Open to anyone aged 11-19. All sessions will take place at 185 Drayton Rd, Norwich, NR3 2PG.
Collage & Surrealism
Thurs 20th November, 4.30-6.30pm
See how collage can be used to change reality and create alternative surreal concepts. Explore creativity and self-expression through collage and surrealism.
Knitting
Thurs 27th November, 4.30-6.30pm
Get creative and cosy at our Beginner’s Knitting Workshop. Learn the basics of knitting while making your very own stylish beanie, no experience needed. We’ll guide you step by step, provide all materials, and make sure you leave with new skills, new friends, and a handmade hat you’ll be proud of.
Video Art
Thurs 4th December, 4.30-6.30pm
Work together to create a collaborative video art piece! Video art is a bit like a video painting, or a moving tapestry. It’s a great skill to learn if you’re interested in filmmaking, or want to take your photography or collage skills to the next level.
Caricature & Cartoons
Thurs 11th December, 4.30-6.30pm
A cartoon and caricature art class. Draw yourself, someone you know, or your favourite celebrity in a style that will make you laugh out loud.
