It's very dry out there and this is a problem for our hedgehogs who are starting their breeding season.
Please put out water for them, the birds and insects.
It's a matter of life and death.

Amazing offer from the Green Hearts. Free ponds! πŸ’š
Look at these beautiful wildlife ponds!
They were installed in Autumn 2025 as part of the Mile Cross Blue Corridor project and they are already supporting a wide range of wildlife from frogs, to birds to aquatic insects.
The Green Hearts have 3 more preformed wildlife ponds to give away.
Dig in the pond this spring and it will be full of life by the summer.
If you live in Mile Cross and can did the pond in yourself - we can give you loads of handy tips to create a precious haven for wildlife.

It's the time of year when the lawnmowers get fired up for the first time.
Why not keep a 'bee patch' uncut this April? Where early bees can feed from dandelions and red dead nettle? It's the easiest win for wildlife.
