What an incredible place! ❤️ This is my second time staying here 🛏️, and I honestly keep coming back for the location and the great price.
There are so many beautiful places to explore nearby, so it’s a perfect base for discovering the area. 🌊⛰️
Don’t come here looking for luxury 🙂 Everything is simple and basic. There’s an outdoor toilet 🚽 and a shower where the hot water seems to disappear every now and then 😁
But then you have a projector 🎥, a little fireplace 🔥, stunning views and absolute peace and quiet… and suddenly, who needs luxury?
It’s the kind of place where you wake up, look outside and think, yep, this is exactly why I came to Wales. 💚

There are quite a few saunas in East England, but this one is by far my favourite 😍
A spacious sauna with stunning views over the canal and surrounding fields 😍, a cold-water bucket, and two ice baths 🛀. One is kept at a refreshing 6°C, while the other is a slightly more forgiving 12°C 🥶🛀
And if you’re feeling brave, you can even jump straight into the canal for a swim! 🏊‍♀️🌿
There’s also plenty of space to sit back, relax, and simply enjoy the peace and quiet 😍
Right next door, you’ll find a canoe 🛶 and paddleboard 🏄 rental, so you can easily turn your sauna visit into a full day of outdoor adventure.

The plan was to stop near Tryfan and go for a walk around the area 😁 But at 8 in the morning, I drove around everywhere and just couldn’t find anywhere to park the car 🚙😂 So, the plan quickly changed, and I decided to visit this lake for the first time.
At 9:30am, there were only a few cars around and it was so peaceful and quiet 😍 So I decided to go for a walk and explore the area around the lake.
Mountains, beautiful views, a stunning lake… 😍 What a fantastic place! 👍
🏞️ Llyn Geirionydd is located in Snowdonia (Eryri) National Park, in Conwy County.
📍 The lake sits in the Gwydir Forest area, surrounded by mountains and woodland.
📏 It’s around 2 km long, making it a beautiful, narrow mountain lake.
🐉 The lake is connected with Welsh legends, including stories of the giant Rhitta Gawr and other ancient tales from Wales.
🛶 It’s a popular spot for kayaking, fishing and walking, especially for those looking to enjoy the peaceful Welsh countryside.
🌲 The surrounding forests give the area a wonderfully wild and peaceful feel, even though it’s not far from some of North Wales’ most popular tourist spots.
📍 Another unexpected stop that turned into a pretty great adventure! 🥾🏔️😍

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿WALES🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Penrhyn Castle🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Although it’s called a castle 🏰, it’s really more like a rich person’s giant toy, built to show off and impress others.
🏰 It is not a genuine medieval castle. The present-day Penrhyn Castle was built in the early 19th century, around 1820–1830, in the style of a Norman castle.
💰 The castle was built by the Pennant family, who became wealthy through the Welsh slate industry and sugar plantations in Jamaica.
👑 The castle was designed as an impressive aristocratic residence, which is why its appearance deliberately resembles a powerful medieval fortress.
🛏️ Inside, you’ll find incredibly luxurious interiors, including an impressive Great Hall and a huge stone bed.
🛏️ The famous stone bed weighs around 1.5 tonnes. It was carved from a single piece of stone and definitely isn’t the kind of furniture you’d want to move around on a Sunday. 😄
🚂 The Penrhyn family was closely connected to the slate industry, and the Penrhyn slate quarry operated on their estate. This industry helped the family accumulate enormous wealth.
🎨 Today, the castle is owned by the National Trust, so it can be visited as a museum and historic attraction.
🌳 The castle is surrounded by a vast historic park and gardens, with views towards the Snowdonia (Eryri) region and the landscapes of North Wales.
⚔️ Although it looks very ancient, most of its “medieval” features, towers and walls are actually 19th-century architectural fantasy.
🏛️ Penrhyn Castle is often regarded as one of the most impressive examples of 19th-century Gothic Revival architecture in the United Kingdom.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿WELSAS🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Penrhyn Castle🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
Nors vadinama pilimi🏰 . Bet tai tik turtingų žmonių žaisliukas. Pasipuikuoti prieš kitus.
🏰 Tai nėra tikra viduramžių pilis. Dabartinė Penrhyn pilis buvo pastatyta XIX a. pradžioje, maždaug 1820–1830 m., normanų pilies stiliumi.
🏛️ Penrhyn Castle dažnai minima tarp įspūdingiausių XIX a. neogotikos statinių Jungtinėje Karalystėje.

A beautiful, charming little town with a surprisingly long list of things to see and do. 🎡🏰🌊 From a Ferris wheel and a medieval castle to a natural swimming pool and cosy restaurants overlooking the mountains. ⛰️🍽️
🏰 Beaumaris Castle was begun in 1295 on the orders of King Edward I. It was the last of his great castles in Wales, but was never fully completed.
🏛️ The castle is considered one of the finest examples of a concentric medieval castle, surrounded by several layers of defensive walls.
🌍 Beaumaris Castle is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Castles and Town Walls of King Edward in Gwynedd.”
⛰️ Beaumaris is surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Anglesey, while the waterfront offers stunning views across the Menai Strait towards the mountains of Snowdonia, or Eryri, on the Welsh mainland.
A little town with medieval history, mountain views and plenty of Welsh charm. 🏰🌊💚

🏰 Beaumaris pilis pradėta statyti 1295 m. karaliaus Edvardo I įsakymu.

A sunny 🌤️, warm Saturday morning in East England, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of Salthouse Broad. Nature at its best, with blue skies, gentle warmth, and that unmistakable late-summer feeling. ☀️🌿

A perfect place to watch the sunsets 🌅 😍
🌊 Cemaes is located on the northern coast of the Isle of Anglesey, overlooking the Irish Sea. It is one of the northernmost settlements in Wales.
🏖️ The town is famous for Cemaes Bay, a beautiful bay with two beaches: Traeth Mawr and Traeth Bach.

🏖️ Miestelis garsėja Cemaes Bay, gražia įlanka su dviem paplūdimiais: Traeth Mawr ir Traeth Bach.

Wow 😍 I’ve never been to Mars, but walking around here felt like I’d stepped onto another planet! 😁 The colours, the smell, the landscape, and that sunset 🌄… absolutely unreal!
⛏️ Parys Mountain is an ancient copper mining site on the Isle of Anglesey in North Wales.
🏺 Copper ore was mined here more than 4,000 years ago, dating back to the Bronze Age.
🚀 Mining really took off in the 18th century, and by around 1780, Parys Mountain had become one of the most important copper mining sites in the world.
🌍 Copper extracted here was used in various industries, including for sheathing ships.
🌄 What makes Parys Mountain so unique is its otherworldly landscape. Thanks to the minerals and centuries of mining, the rocks come alive with shades of red, orange, yellow and green.
Definitely one of those places that makes you stop, look around and wonder: Am I still on Earth? 😁🌍

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿WELSAS🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Parys Mountain🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿WALES🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿South Stack Lighthouse🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
The lighthouse was built in 1809.
The first light was lit here on 9 February 1809. It was built by Trinity House, and the location was chosen because of the dangerous rocks near the Isle of Anglesey.
Only about 30 metres of sea separate it from the mainland. 🌊
South Stack Rock is a small rocky islet, separated from Holy Island by just around 30 metres of often rough sea.
To reach the lighthouse, you have to descend around 400 steps.
And this is where the fun begins: going down is easy because your legs are still motivated. On the way back up, they may file an official complaint. 😄
The lighthouse was only electrified in 1938. 💡
Before that, various oil and incandescent lighting systems were used. In 1938, it was connected to electricity, and in 1984 it became fully automated, meaning the lighthouse keepers finally left their posts.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿WELSAS🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿South Stack Lighthouse🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
