𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗙𝗜𝗫𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦 ⚽️🐘

Christmas break is over and we are back with both teams kicking off 2026 with two very tough fixtures!

Our 1s travel to face a much improved, high flying, Breckland United in a top of the table clash with both sides competing for promotion.

After 8 weeks without playing a fixture, our 2s face title chasing Hingham FC who are currently unbeaten in the league. Our young side has improved week on week, can we cause the upset of the season?

Matchweek Seven ⚽️🐘

The Yellaphants faced Scarning United for the second time this season, in cup action this time. After a cagey and even first half, Eaton put the burners on in the second, took control and came away with a comfortable 6-1 victory. Scarning as always were absolute warriors throughout but it wasn’t enough to derail the Yellaphants, into the hat we go!

After our keeper for the game pulled out in the morning of the game, Stevie Blake stepped up, as he always does for the club! He made some great saves as well as addding a commanding voice with composure at the back 🐈

This weekends game ⚽️🐘

Only one game this week with our 1s heading to face Scarning United in the Stephen Boddy Primary League Cup. Never an easy opposition to face, Scarning will be looking for revenge after our victory over them earlier in the season. It’s another Cup weekend for the Yellaphants, can we better last week’s result and progress into the second round this week?

Game week four ⚽️🐘

Cullum travelled with his 1s side to face last season’s div three champs Necton. Three first half goals and a solid defensive display kept the strike duo of S***t and Clark quiet (who bagged 60+ goals between them last season). Massive three points against quality opposition

The 2s hosted a rebranded AG Hingham, now playing as Attleborough As. The quality of the opposition (who were a top 3 div one side last season) proved too much for our young developing side. The 2s valiantly battled their socks off but defeat was unfortunately the outcome.

MOTM
S. Labead comes in clutch with back to back MOTM awards. Another assist and all round clinical display from the midfielder, showing why the club were so keen to get him on board this season.

After a last minute goalkeeper pull out, center back J. Cuthbert gloved up and gave his all in net for the 2s in a tough fixture. Jords is showing his commitment week in week out, this kid bleeds black and yella!

This weekends games ⚽️🐘

Our 1s travel up to last season’s division three champs, Necton FC. Two close affairs last season saw us unable to defeat them, will this season be an improvement?

After their first win last week, the 2s will be looking for another improved performance when they host title favourites “AG” Attleborough As 👀. Our young side will be looking to keep improving week on week in our maiden season

𝗬𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 💛🖤

Our performance of the weekend this weekend goes to young .saunders1 . The 17 year old striker scored his first goal for the club and assisted the last minute winning goal for the 2s first ever 3 points. A fantastic all round performance from Harry who is really starting to find his feet in his first season of men’s football. 💪

Game week three ⚽️🐘

The 1s were back in the win column this weekend with another big win against Scarning. The home side battled their socks off but couldn’t do too much to prevent the clinical Yellaphants who had a point to prove to themselves after last weekends loss.

Mikey Ward’s 2’s also brought back the win giving the club its first 6 point Saturday. A last minute winner against Rockland Reserves ensured Mikey his first ever win in management and the 2’s their first ever 3 points. The club is beyond proud of the lads.

Man of the match

Saeed Labead has started his Eaton Wanderers career with some strong performances and this weekend was the best of the bunch. Constant quality when in possession and grafted off the ball for a fantastic all round performance. Player sponsored by The Garden House Pub

A dominant performance from Cey Enver takes the 2s MOTM award. Winning every battle in the midfield and adding serious quality in possession (bar his dive) the combative midfielder won the vote from his peers. Player sponsored by Macbrook Gas.
