Xibitr Onto the next project.. but before we go, let's show you the project we just finished.
It was an honour to work with the team at Constable 250 to celebrate the 250th birthday of the legendary painter John Constable. We took the exhibition back to his birthplace, East Bergholt and transformed the Constable Memorial Hall into a full on, totally interactive, fully immersive exhibition for all ages.
Our mixed reality exhibition was a huge success and achieved high praise, people were wowed with the introduction to an empty hall and then being transported into a beautiful gallery space when the mixed reality headsets were worn.
The audience were presented with interactive menu's and buttons, audio presentations and the ability to pick up objects with their hands. We also placed a big map table in the centre indicating where the locations of each painting was situated in Constable country so people could go see the landscape settings that John studied when creating his masterpieces.
We also worked with a number of local schools to show the children's interpretations of his work and provided a button, once pressed, all of Constable's work would be swopped out for the children's work and placed within the frames.
This exhibition format can be toured anywhere with a similar floor space and involves no transportation of valuable paintings or artefacts, only headsets and an empty room.
I would like to thank everybody that made this project possible, including Jake Bignell Emma Roodhouse Bethany Mitchell James Lee Burgess Ian Dance The East Bergholt Society Adrian James Carole Creasey Zoey Banthorpe Liz Baalham
