Gruffalo Discovery Land 🦊 🦉 🐍

Attention Gruffalo fans…you Pay for a Day & Visit FREE for a Year! Yes, that means you can visit Gruffalo Discovery land Twycross Zoo for a whole year & only pay once!

We have been coming to The Gruffalo Discovery Land Twycross Zoo since it opened (we were lucky enough to be asked to go to the VIP opening event 4 years ago).

Lots more interactive stations have been added since it opened & the boys love going around competing all the activities. We have been so many times over the years & they still love it!

We are big Julia Donaldson fans in our house & we are super excited for the arrival of The Room on the Brown Maize Maze in October!

Sunflower & Maize Maze 🌻 🌽 🌻

Come with us to the sunflower & maize maze at Play@ Lower Drayton Farm where we also saw the brand new combine harvester in action!

Sunflowers are my favourite & walking through them with the boys was something I’ve always wanted to do! We got lost in the maize maze but managed to find the centre of it!

We watched the brand new combine harvester in action & got to pick our own wheat & sunflower to take home!

Summer of Play ☀️ 🌈 ☀️

The biggest & best Summer of Play yet! We thoroughly enjoyed this years Summer of Play activities at National Trust Calke Abbey

We followed & solved the riddles which led us up to the Garden of Imagination. It was full of all different activities for us all to play. It was the most amount of activities we’ve ever seen there! The garden was full to the brim of games & activities for all the family to enjoy.

We took on some fun Pokémon Trading Card Game mini challenges inspired by some of our favourite Pokémon. We completed fun interactive challenges inspired by their unique abilities.

You can pick up Pokémon stickers each time you visit a Summer of Play location and start building your collection.

You too can get outdoors this summer & enjoy unforgettable family adventures set against the beautiful backdrop of National Trust historic houses & gardens.
