Man in hospital after e-scooter crash closed road

Nottinghamshire Police said it happened shortly after 20:00 BST on Thursday in Carlton Road.

The road was partially closed at the junction with Seymour Street, near Lidl, and reopened shortly before 06:00 on Friday.

New vision for Nottingham's Broad Marsh area shared by council

The authority said its vision for a new-look Broad Marsh area included more than 1,000 new homes plus commercial and leisure outlets.

It also hopes to use the frame of the former Broadmarsh shopping centre to offer "innovative" new spaces.

Sneinton: New provider for contract quit GP surgery confirmed

A new provider has been confirmed for a Nottingham GP surgery after the doctors running it announced plans to quit.

The team at the Windmill Practice, in Sneinton, announced they were withdrawing from their contract to provide primary medical services to 11,000 people at the end of May.

Pair jailed for violent Nottingham city centre bus stop robbery attempts

In one attack, an 18-year-old was dragged to the floor, punched, kicked and stamped on in George Street.

Casey Mossman, 20, had tried to grab the victim's bag at about 22:30 BST on 15 September 2023, before pulling him to the floor.

Nottingham woman told by police to bin knife found in garden

Joanne Haslam, from Carrington, Nottingham, said the blade was found by her nine-year-old niece on Sunday when she was playing football with a friend.

The 39-year-old said police refused to attend after the knife was discovered, and shared concerns about anti-social behaviour near her home.

Road closures announced ahead of Take That concerts

The pop group will take to the stage with their Life on Tour show at the City Ground, in West Bridgford, on 25 and 26 May.

Via, which manages highways for Nottinghamshire County Council, said closures would take place between 09:00 BST on Friday 24 and 23:00 on Tuesday 28.

Colwick Road, Pavillion Road and Trentside North will be entirely closed.

While Fox Road, Hound Road, and the A6011 Lady Bay Bridge will be partly closed.

Mansfield: Work starts to restore heritage building

The Grade II listed Brunts Chambers in Leeming Street and Toothill Lane are made up of seven retail units and a number of offices.

The Brunts Charity will oversee the renovation or replacement of existing shopfronts and work on the facade of the building, which dates from 1915.

Traffic light theft 'could have caused accident'

Thieves who took temporary traffic lights and pedestrian crossing lights from outside a school "could have caused a serious accident".

Nottinghamshire Police confirmed it was investigating the theft of the lights from outside Fairfield Spencer Academy in Stapleford.

Pride celebration to move to new city location

The event, which celebrates the LGBTQ+ community, began in the Hockley area of Nottingham in 1997 and has taken place there every year since 2014.

But the march will follow a new route when it returns on 27 July and will end in the Sneinton Market area.
