PLEASE HELP!!!

Wightman Hall Scout Hut, the venue for my Tuesday and Thursday morning classes, has been saving for some years to replace its old, poorly insulated roof with a new, highly insulated one. They have just learned that they have been successful in the first stage towards getting a 50% contribution from Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Community Grant scheme.

The next stage is “Public Consultation”, and funding will only be awarded to projects with strong community support.

As well as my Pilates classes, the hall is used by scouting groups, mother and toddler groups, community sports clubs, performing arts societies, “Keep Active” health groups and a faith group. It is also used for birthday parties and special events. Over 350 people use the hall each week.

Please follow the link below and vote for the re-roofing project. (It is listed as West Bridgford Scouts - Wightman Hall roof repairs). If successful, they will not only improve the comfort in the building, but they will also be able to reinvest the money they save on heating to upgrade the facilities for everyone who uses the Hall.

Voting is now open and closes on Thursday, 19th Feb.
