UPDATE:
We are absolutely over the moon that Honey has been found safe and well. After 10 days on the run along the Silverhill trail from Teversal Honey was found this afternoon by Chris walking his dog. She was under a hedge near the school at tibshelf and he was able to grab her harness.
We had been on her trail since her owner got in touch on Monday 28th August. First sighting was at a farm just down the road from home and with help from tracker dog Voodoo we had an idea of where to look. Second sighting came when Tracey almost caught her on their yard near Huthwaite so we placed a trap and cameras by the stream where we caught sight of her on the camera on Saturday night 2 August and then again in the stream on Sunday 3rd.
Unfortunately the farm owners dog got caught in the trap and may have scared her away as next sighting wasn’t until Tuesday 5th quite some distance along the trail in Tibshelf on a footpath near the school. We went down with Voodoo and tracked her to a stream but no sightings. Plans were in place to go tonight with cameras and banners for the trail and footpath.
She is very skinny and tired and has gone to the vets to be checked.
Big thanks to Lost Dog Tracking Network Notts & Derby Jenny & Voodoo, Tim W G Holyoake and Kevin Halliday
drone pilots, Jean her fosterer who travelled from Wakefield and all the Notts lost dogs volunteers who helped ground search.
We would also like to think Carrick Veterinary Group for seeing her so quickly.
We used a lot of resources on this one - food, posters, banners and extra cameras. If you would like to donate -
