A team of amphibian lovers are helping to save Nottinghamshire's toads from becoming roadkill during their migration season 🐸

estimates that half a million toads are killed on British roads every year, and their population has declined by 68% since the 1990s

That's what's inspired to launch toad patrols in areas where toads are known to breed: they carry toads from the roadside in buckets and take them to safety to their breeding ponds - last year they saved nearly 2000 toads!
